Curtain holder/restraint

Good afternoon!

I am looking for a source for the plastic curtain holders/restraints for a Sunline T-2753. I backed into one of these curved curtain restraints in our rear bedroom (the bottom one) and I snapped it. I've tried glue, but neither super nor gorilla will hold the pieces together. They all look the same throughout the trailer, but for the life of me I cannot find a replacement. A little help, please??

John: Looks exactly like that, my camper is a 2003 T-2753. If you are the source, I'll take two! Please advise and thanks so much.

Hi Gary, if you still need them I have two and would be happy to help you out. Let me know! The ones I have do not have the slots for the screws they have holes.

Bubbabc: I'll take them-mine actually have the screw holes, so this should be a perfect fit. How do you want to handle this?
Thanks so much!

Gary,

Your 2003 has the same as mine then.

It looks like Bubbac has you covered.

If you need more, I found these. I have not found the 2 hole ones yet, just this same RV designer brand.

Side Curtain Hold Down - RV Designer A285 - Window Covering Hardware - Camping World

RV Designer Collection Side Curtain Hold Down

http://www.amazon.com/RV-Designer-A2...rtain+hardware

The price sure seems to vary, just check freight. The shipping can be more than the curtain holders...

Hope this helps

John

I will get them in the mail today. Just pay it forward and try to help someone else in this club. I have owned twenty three Sunlines since my first purchase of a Sunspot in 1979. When Sunline had their website I was on it for owning the most Sunlines! Each time I would visit the factory I would hit Sue up for some goodies. I have lots of decals and odds and ends. LaRue actually sold me the 1971 Sunline trailer that won the oldest Sunline contest for fifty bucks! It is still in use today in Mercersburg, Pa. ! I just finished restoring a 2002 T-2653 and will be posting pictures soon. It looks like just left the factory. Keep your 2003 T-2753 as it is one of the best floor plans they made without a slide. When it comes to talking about Sunline I could write a book. There will never be another trailer manufacturer that will compare to customer satisfaction, service, quality control and owner loyalty!! LIFE IS BETTER IN A SUNLINE! Regards, Chuck McNair

Agreed that Sunline put out an exceptional product. We bought the 2753 last September and I could not determine if in fact the trailer had ever been used-it was THAT clean. I'm still in awe of how well the trailer is built and all the "smart quality" touches they built in. I'd only be tempted by a Sunnie with a slider, as I'm 6-4, but I agree with you that the floor plan is excellent; that really sealed the deal for us and we looked at other trailers with slides, but the quality did not measure up.
Speaking of decals, most of mine are in the peeling stage, so next time I get to the Sunnie, I'll send you photos of what I want to replace.
Again, thanks so much & come on down for some Georgia mtns fun!

Chuck,

I have a 1996 T-2053 that has some decal issues and wonder if you may have replacement.

I too will get some pictures posted if you think you may be able to help.

Thanks, Lynn

You will get your curtain holders by Friday. I sent them priority mail. I will only help out with decals if you are the original owner. I knew I would be starting something after I posted that! Eek!! Gary your decals were used from 2002 thru 2004 and I will not part with them at this time as I only have a couple because I just used some on my 02. Sorry!

No sweat on the decals, I understand your reasoning perfectly. Thanks again and have a great day!

Sorry, I'm not the original owner.

I possibly overpaid for this unit a little, but was willing in that it was 1) the length and floor plan I wanted and 2) it was the last year that I could get this unit with the jalousie windows in this floor plan and 3) the double door entry.

The unit is in very good condition, but the decals are going south. I will possibly have some custom ones made or strip and paint instead.

I was hoping to find original, however not the end of the world. Thanks.

Could you send me a picture? Hitch end and door side?

Chuck,

Glad to have you with us. Your reputation proceeds you! All good too!

23 Sunny's WOW. You hold the record for a Sunline Owers Club member and the factory too. Our late dear friend Kitty use to have most Sunny's.

I fully agree with you about Sunline. I happen to be fortunate enough to bought a new 2004 T2499 while Sunline was still in business. And I exchanged several conversations with the LaRue, Sue, Tim and the shop foremen. Can't recall his name now. What a breath of fresh air to a connect with a company who remembers and respects the customer which is who keeps them in business. And builds a great product!

A loyal following customer base, oh yes... I know if they where still in business we would of had another new one by now. Now I cannot find anything close to what I have except for possibly Arctic Fox in a TT. So we will be keeping it for a good while yet. The factory is for sure missed.

Looking forward to seeing your restoration.

John

John, Thanks for the kind words! The shop foreman your talking about is Herb Testor! What a nice guy who never got rattled when you had a problem! If you went to the factory to get anything done you always left with a fresh coat of paint on your entry steps! The good ole days for sure! You were lucky to get your T-2499 when you did because in 06 the frame problems started! That is a nice roomy easy to manage unit. See you in the woods! Chuck

I'll try and get the pictures by this weekend. Weather here is rain and more rain thru the weekend. My units (1983 T-1550) and the 1996 T-2053 still blocked in. Snow and ice melting slowly.
