1987 T-2153 for sale
I have a 1987 Satellite T-2153 for sale. This camper is by no means complete or original in several ways. Please read description below.
Project Camper For Sale-1987 Sunline Satellite T2153
(Handyman skills are a must. This trailer is NOT perfect.)
-Location: Northeast Illinois
-Titled and Licensed in Illinois, title clear. Owned since 2011.
-Length: 21 ft. 10 in., no slideouts. Sleeps three. Empty Dry Weight: 3,200 lb., max Gross
Weight 4,400 lb. Underframe is sheet metal, not fabric.
-Electric is 120v AC-30 amp, 12v DC (currently no issues) All marker lights are new in 2017.
-Awning new in 2012.
-Axles: two Dexter (all bushings and pins replaced in 2014). Axles were flipped for
ground clearance. Waste water tanks have been repaired more than once. Should be replaced.
-Scissor type stabilizer jacks on all four corners. (socket driven)
-Electric brakes work, but shoes may need replacing soon.
-Tires: 14 inch radial trailer tires, all 4 new in 2014 + new spare radial.
-A/C is window mounted in rear (120v AC only)
-Stove/oven was removed (rust and corrosion issues): gas system is inoperable without repair, so no hot water, but includes two 30 gal. propane tanks that need to be refitted.
-Has a shower/tub, but shower fixture missing. (We never used the shower.)
-Refrigerator is electric only (works good), free microwave oven included.
-Electric tongue jack.
-12 volt DC deep cycle battery.
-Uses a 2” hitch ball (hitch insert and WDH is not included, so bring your own)
NOTE: This unit is not set up for dry camping. The gas and onboard fresh water delivery systems are either disconnected or no longer exist. Shore water hookup still intact.
More info: Has an aluminum roof. In 2016 a large tree limb fell on the roof as a result of a storm. Fortunately, the only damage was a puncture to the roof and another to the top rear driver's side siding. The roof was patched. The roof leaked in a couple of other places in the front also (not from the limb damage). As a result, the entire nose of the trailer has been rebuilt with new framing materials, insulation, and wallboard. Some of the water lines were broken and repaired with re-enforced braided line. There is no fresh water tank. It was removed along with the stove/oven and a cabinet was installed in it’s place. The interior needs to be finished to your needs. There is a fullsize bed, but the original dinette had to be thrown out because of water damage. I have not replaced it. A couple of cabinets were replaced, but they are not original equipment and do not match the décor. The floor is in good shape with no soft spots as far as can be determined. The trailer frame is solid and runs straight and true. So, the trailer isn't perfect, although it is useable as it is. After all, it is 32 years old and needs a fair amount of attention. It isn’t beautiful or luxurious, but if you want to go camping bad enough, it’ll do the job. A good project for an ambitious person with some mechanical skills. Not for a newb.
I am asking $1500 for this trailer with a clear and transferable title. I want your opinions as to weather I am asking too much for it. I know the forum rules say no flaming, but I will not consider any input as a flame here. I need an honest assessment. I will attempt to post some pics.

Ok. After consulting with some RV savvy local folks, I have decided to cut my asking price in half to $750 if anyone is interested. Thanks.

You should have no trouble selling it for that. There's far worse out there for the money.
