1985 22ft Sunliner "Project" for sale.
My 1985 22 foot Sunliner would make a great project for someone with skills and patients. Located in Eastern North Carolina. Offered at a very attractive price if you can move it soon. I need the space to finish my landscaping. A serious buyer will get a very good price! Some original documentation included.
This Sunny has served my needs well over the years. I purchased it used in Massachusetts in 2009 to use for Winter time living for a few months each year while I slowly restored an old house in North Carolina. Before towing it to North Carolina I had the wheel bearings repacked and added four new tires. Tires now have less than 1,000 miles but are ten years old.
On arrival in North Carolina I left it with a former sunliner dealer to check out all functions. They reported that all was functional except that the fresh water tank had been bypassed and the pump disconnected. Since I had no plans to travel with this Sunliner the propane function of the fridg was not evaluated and the fresh water system remains bypassed.
This Sunliner has been resting in my backyard, unused for several years, awaiting restoration to her former glory.
The good, the bad, and the ugly:
Roof framing over the bedroom needs major repair due to water leaks. Bedroom ceiling sags in places but is unbroken.
Walls and floors feel solid.
Windows and doors all good except one window was broken during a break-in.
Upholstery and drapes in place and in fair to good condition.
Tub/shower/toilet/sink have no known leaks and work well.
Cabinets and drawers look good. Bathroom upper cabinet has some de-lamination on door.
Refrigerator works well on electricity - not tested or used on propane.
Air Conditioner worked well when last used (2013)
Range top and vent work well. Unable to light the oven burner. Reason unknown.
Water heater had new controls installed in 2013.
Furnace works but needs new bearings or replacement. Squeals like a cat with a hotfoot! I found new available for $81.
Black water and gray water tanks and valves in good condition.
Electric and converter in good condition. Battery was in good working order when last used. (2013)
Tires have less than 1,000 miles but are ten years old. Has spare also. Unknown condition but holding air.
Awning has a small (2") rip over front door. The lower attachment points were ripped from the framing during a wind storm. All support struts still in good condition.
Two 30 LB propane tanks and switch-over valve in good condition.
Exterior paint and decals show their age.
