Took the plunge....

Hi All,

I found this site while researching a used camper that my wife and I were looking at and due to the wealth of information and the enthusiasm shown for the Sunline brand, we took the plunge and purchased a new sunline camper today!

It's a Sunline Advancer Lite L25K. We were looking for a trailer with a queen/full bed and rear bunks. Most importantly, we needed to tow it with my 2001 Ford F150. We've been looking for quite some time.. new and used.. and this was by far the trailer that best suited out needs. I was amazed at the sales pitches I got from people telling me how much I could supposedly tow with my truck... but having towed boats all my life, I wasn't buying it!

We (Me: Walter, wife Kathy and kids Kasey, John and Brodie) cannot wait to get her home and more importantly, out on the road.

I'll supply more details about the rig once I get it home....

Cheers.... and tanks for al the great info this site has to offer!

Walter

Walter, Kathy, and crew,

Welcome aboard! This forum is one of the very few places on the net that is pleasant and helpful all the time. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

I can not believe how badly RV salesmen lie about towing capacities. It's good that you have some real life towing experience and made a wise decision there.

Read as much as you can in here. Many questions have already been answered so you can find them almost instantly with the search function. But there always something new, too.

Enjoy!

Welcome to Sunline Owners Club. The Advancer package, cool! What year is it?

The salesmen you can tow anything ordeal, yup we have seen that before. Good for you for sticking your ground and coming out ahead. Selling someone something over the ability that their tow vehicle can control or hold up and not alerting them of potential issues is just plain poor. It has happened way too many times. Myself included.

Good luck with your new camper.

John
