I seems to be a quiet place with no new posts or so it seems today.
Back in 99 we custom ordered our 2753 SE ( fiberglass unit)where its seen many miles across the usa, but still looks mint. I built a garge and the 10 months its off the road shes covered and out of the weather.
My wife and 4 kids have been off work all summer since we ordered it. We save the 10 months and do major road trips. Last summer was a 9000 mile hike from Pa to Yellowstone to Vegas to Grand caynon to Nashville and home. Stopping every 250 miles and stay a few days at a time. It was the best trip so far. Now the kids are older they love this lifstyle.
Sunline customized the rear bed area for us. Placing the 3 bunk wrap around setup from another model I saw. Leaving some floor space for them to get dressed and organized play on when the where little.
Untill last year my youngest slept under the one bunk that had a big cabinets under it. I removed the 2 doors and for 7 years he fit fine. This year he had to take a mat to the floor. But I also added an extra door from the factory under the bottom bunk that now he rolls he bedding it to. Like a hatch door.
I have pictures of the bunk setup when they were all babies as we started with 2 new borns. I was able to build a crib with crib doors which I turned the bottom bunk into. I am handly with making furniture so they looked like they were made at the plant. They have long been taken down and I have them around still. Ohh my wife and I comfortable fit on the couch where we can shut the bathroom door and have some privacy from the 4 kids. Its really worked out well for us and still does. Who say you cant travel with teens. My kids live and plan our summer trips. It get tighter as they get older but we would not dream of selling it. Its still looks new. When they leave the nest. I will convert the bunk areas into a queen size bed and My wife and I hopfully will continue to travel. I hope to talk with some of you over the winter and beyond.
