Proud to be a new member.

Hello, anyone here from Texas? I live in the little town of St. Paul, Texas. We are 45 miles northeast of Dallas. I bought my T1950 in 2005 and I love it. People thought I was crazy when I drove 1300 miles to Michigan to buy my Sunline from General RV. I had a very good experience with them. I searched for a long time to find a small trailer that did not have a dinette. I wanted a chair. I’ve been RVing for 25 years, mostly in a pop up. My most favorite trip was taking the pop up to Disney World. I look forward to going back in the Sunline. The forums are great. I’ve already gleaned a tremendous amount of info from them. Keep up the good work. Thanks. John

John, I think all of us who are already here are just as proud to have you join us here on SOC. In part, I like to consider SOC a bit of a safe haven from the flames and hassles of many other forums.

Your 1950 is identical to our 2453 from the fridge forward on the road side and the galley forward on the curb side. We picked the floor plan specifically because of the chair and couch in place of the usual "restaurant booth" dinette.

Welcome aboard.

Ditto, that's why we chose the 1950 too. We wanted small and without the standard dinette. We like the living room setting.

Welcome John.

Welcome John

Glad you found us and glad to have you with us. 1,300 miles. Yes that is a ways but you have a beauty of a TT. We went 500 miles one way for the Sunline we have now and would of gone twice that if we had to. The brand is worth the seeking out.

Look forward to hearing and "seeing" your camping adventures, please share. See you already have the pics done pat, Great!!! We like pics.

Happy camping

John

Exclamation Hello John From St. Paul

Hello, John, and welcome,

Welcome from another new member, who, like you, bought your trailer
some time back, but only joined SOC recently. AND, also purchased it
from General RV. Unlike you, however, we drove about 13 miles to the
dealership, not 1,300!

At the time, General, being just our "local" RV dealer, seemed like just
another one of many, many in our area. However, as time goes by, we
see that they have quite a large clientele. Our experience with the Wixom
and Birch Run (Michigan) stores was very good, and they made us a great
deal. Others here on SOC can verify this, but General, at the time, seems
to have been the largest, westernmost dealer for Sunlines.

We'll be passing through your state this coming April, enroute from New
Orleans to the Grand Canyon. The closest we'll come to your location
will be Galveston / Beaumont.

Once again, welcome aboard.

Denns & Marie

Thanks all for the welcome. It is obvious that the average SOCer is a higher quality person. Of course I have discovered that generally most RVers are better than average. I did consider the longer trailer, but at the time it was just me and I had a Dodge 1500. I wanted something easy to tow and back. The 1950 is perfect for one or two. That 1300 miles was one way. I did find another manufacture that made the same floor plan, but it was obvious from the pictures that the Sunline was a better quality trailer. I bought it sight unseen from General and was not disappointed. I look forward to someday to maybe attending a meet and greet. Thanks again.
