Northern Virginia new owner
I am completely overwhelmed and don't know where to start. I have always wanted a camper trailer and finally inherited a 1979 Sunline 21RB 21' trailer. I want am embarrassed that my enthusiasm got the better of me but I know zero. Where do I start to find out what condition it's really in and what repairs need to be made before taking it in the road. I need to find someone who will come to my storage location and give me an honest estimate with the order of priority for things that need to be repaired. Please help.

Cloud9,
Congrats on your new-to-you Sunline. From the pixs it looks nice!
At one time or another, almost all of us been where you are. For us, what helped was to read through the Forum threads to learn the things we needed to learn (and, four years later, we're still learning). We'd pick a topic, like the fresh water tank, and just read whatever threads we could find dealing with that topic. You can pick up a lot of knowledge just reading the threads. When you have a question the people here are great at helping you out too. Welcome to SOC!

Congrats! I can tell you this, the VIN indicates a 1980 trailer, not 1979.

Welcome and Congrats! There used to be a little guide posted on RVUSA.com that was basically a "camper guide for dummys". I downloaded and read it front to back to get a general idea of what I was looking at. There may be one like it posted on this site or you can just google it. Once you get an idea, then we can go from there. There are lots of folks that will help you along the way.

Thank you. I want to do the work myself with supervision. It's stored on one of the local military bases. It looks like I'm on my own with the help of forum members from afar. Thanks for your response.
