NJ Newbie

Friend of mine from work.... his sister and brother in law own a campground. Took a ride this morning to check out a Coachman they had for sale ($2500). Should have been a ROACHman. Anyhow, someone abandoned a Sunline Solaris and they wanted it out to free up the spot for the season. Checked it out, looks solid and only needed new carpet and a good scrubbing. For the price ($1500) I figured WHY NOT. I have a VIN number but nothing really else on it. It had a small plate to the left of the main door. Didn't know what it meant, and came here to find out it was the model number. Trying to research more info on it. Stumbled across this site.

Given this camground was 1.5 hours from me, i was happy to be told to take it out of there. We have an awesome campground that we took the pop ups to and we plan on going there often.

Glad to be here, and plan on posting often. Thanks!

Hi NJCampFan, welcome to the forum. Sounds like you made a good find. If you send your VIN to Sunline Fan for his database he can probably tell you a lot about it.

Now that Sunline is out of business we have to help each other and NO question here is ever considered a dumb question so feel free to ask anything. We all learn from each other.

I sent him a message. Waiting to hear back. I am going most likely Friday to pick it up. I want to plug it in, and make sure the electrical works. Also want to put water through it and look for leaks. The roof looks solid, the floor is not soft at all, and the bottom looks to be in tact. Needs a good scrubbing (sink, toilet, shower)..... we shall see.

Take an ice pick or moisture meter with you and check the frame wood for excessive moisture or wood rot from water.
Send Sunline fan (Jon) a PM with vin#. he can tell you a whole lot about the trailer.
