Newbies

Hello Everyone! My wife and I just purchased her father's 1983 Sunline T-1751 camper. While she grew up camping in this thing, I am new to RVing altogether. This thing is going to be a project, but we are excited about everything we get to work on, or as we like to say, "play with." We will start a separate post soon documenting our journey of renovating the camper and bringing new life to it!

We will also try to post some pictures tomorrow as I didn't realize I couldn't upload them straight to this post from my phone...

Looks pretty good! Nice purchase. I'll bet the propane tanks are the old style one way to deal with that is WalMart exchange the people there really don't have a clue and will let you trade them in. Then the next time you need to fill them take them to a camp ground or a propane co. that way they will actually fill them. It' one of my pet peeves about the exchange bottles they do not fill them and if you look at the info on the cage you'll see that it only has 15# it's corporate's way of beating you out of about a gallon of propane. They will tell you that they can't be filled because of the new style valve. Not true a full tank is 20# not 15.

Upstate NY newbie

I have a 83 14foot #383....I am having trouble cleaning the very weathered outside skin of the camper....seems like the dirt+(ect.) is baked right into the paint....any ideas on how to get this surface to look at least halfway decent ?? Thanks

Awesome (from a dollar store), a Mr. Clean eraser, and a water hose to rinse it off.

Make sure to test it somewhere out of the way, it may pull the paint off if the finish is too far gone.
