Hello all,
I`m looking at at 1991 Sunliner to purchase and I`m woundering what the value is on it before I pull yhe trigger on it. All I know about it is its about 19' long, has duall axles and pretty clean inside and out. I did crawl underneath it and noticed that it had tie down staps across the water tank and seemed like they weren`t doing much. 3K23M13Je5Kf5H45Mbd5s74b5681cdb7b1139.jpg Can anybody help me out and give me a ball park figure ? They are asking $3000

If the refrigerator works (the rest of the appliances too, but refrigerator is most important) and there is absolutely NO water damage/soft spots anywhere in it, then yeah, it's worth that. Otherwise, start deducting.

As a general rule, when trailers hit 20 years old, they pretty much are worth the same from there on out. A good, clean trailer with no water damage and everything working is worth generally $2500, then maybe go up slightly if condition warrants. Broken refrigerator or an electric dorm type replacement brings it down to $1500-2000. Minor water damage $1000-1500. Major water damage and unknown appliances- $200-$1000, again depending on overall condition.

That's a 1991 Solaris T-2250 or T-2251, depending on if it has the dinette on the side or up front.

thanks ! It does have a water stain on the rear left over the bunk beds, and they claim that the original fridge and stove works, but I did notice that they had tie down straps across the bottom of the potable water holding tank, and they said it was for silenceing a rattle. I think I`m going to offer $1500 and go from there. I`ll hook a LP bottle to it and see for myself if the fridge works or not. Thanks again for the heads up and I will take your wisdom and put it to good use. Happy Camping !

Hi Ralph,

Were they like a nylon ratchet strap? That would definitely be a problem. You can buy replacement tanks- not cheap, but you can. The original had screws/plates along the edges to hold it up. Technically they advise not to tow it with full tanks either.

That wouldn't or shouldn't be the potable water tank underneath, just the black and gray water holding tanks. Fresh water on a '91 should be underneath the kitchen cabinet where the sink is. I see the fill door right below the kitchen window.

Yes they are ratchet straps and I`ll go back and investigate. Maybe she wasn`t aware of them when she bought it last year, its kind of shady, but I`ll give her the benefit of the doubt. She said she bought it off of a dealer in Ohio to take it to a horse show. I`ll ask her if I can take the staps off and see if it falls out because I dont remember seeing any type of screw or fasteners going around the edge of the tank. It looks like I had start looking for a different camper and I dont want to insult her with a lower bid than half of what the asking price is. Wish me luck.
