Hi, A friendly heads up, this old 220 volt dryer outlet gets confused often.
Your Sunline camper has a Nema TT-30P plug on it rated at 125 volt/30 amp. 2 flat blades on an angle and a 3rd rounded bottom/top square shape ground pin.
The correct outlet/receptacle for that plug is a Nema TT-30R rated at 125 volt/30 amp.
The old dryer setup "looked" close but it not the same. It was rated 250 volt/30 amp and had a slightly different plug configuration. 2 flat blades and a L shaped neutral. No ground. Typically a Nema 10-30R
The good news, the camper RV plug, Nema TT-30P is not supposed to fit in the old dryer 250 VAC/30- amp outlet( Nema 10-30R).
It is hard to find the Nema TT-30R and Nema TT-30P configuration to show in in cross reference charts as it is only for RV's. But they do exist.
This link talks to them
The 30-amp 120-volt 2 pole 3 wir
And this chart shows the TT-30R and P configs under the 125 VAC/30 amp.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NEMA_connector
I had a better chart that listed these, but I can't find it right now.
Hope this helps
John

Thanks John. I'm an amateur electrician but strive do do things neatly, correctly, & per code so this helps a lot. I love the saying when it comes to electrical inspections "if you're work is neat, they won't look deep."
I hadn't yet looked closely at the RV plug/dryer receptacle pin configuration but after seeing this, I know I need to just go ahead and buy the correct stuff.

Your welcome Dano, Your saying is dead on with inspections, especially electrical.
Looking forward to seeing and hearing about your Sunline adventures.
John

John, "supposed" is the key word. I have a friend whose older camper (don't know model) almost fried when he tried to use "that receptacle" in his garage.....said it felt a "little off" i.e. took a little effort to plug in, but it tripped almost immediately.
....and I need to apologize to the OP....
through an editing goof the "I wouldn't recommend it" was dropped out of my reply about a dryer outlet.[emoji20]

Mack85 & Dano; I'm class of '73 @ SPHS. We Lived in Severndale for a year 1970-71, moved to Kensington in 1971 on Banyon Ave. after Dad retired USN. Mom and Dad moved to Del. in 2005. I lived in G.B. up until wife died 3 years ago. Now in Phoenix Md. East of Hunt Valley.
MACK. Do you remember the name of the Biker Dive across Rt.2 from Sta 12? Seems to me like it always being raided in early 70's.
Home Depot & Lowes has the NEMA TT30P Plug. (Jumpers Mtn Rd. Home Depot & both Glen Burnie Lowes).

Don't remember the name, but remember sitting out in front of the station watching the "entertainment"....and the supply lines from the plug in front of the station across both lanes of Rt.2 the night it burned!!! The mid 70s were a "fun" time in North Anne Arundel Co.

I'm actually going to pick up the plug in the morning @ Home Depot (the tiny HD on Mtn. Road doesn't have it but I'll be in Hunt Valley & that one does). I lived in Cockeysville (Hunt Valley), Sparks (I owned the old funeral home at the corner of York & Belfast), & Lutherville from the time I was 10 until moving to SP 5 years ago.

Dano,
I just came across this thread, and that truck camper you found is great for free! I also recently picked up a free sunline truck camper, but yours definitely seems to be in better shape. Have you figured out the model and year yet? Also would you be able to post any photos of the interior, I’m curious to see the layout.
Great job and keep up the good work!
-Jay

Thanks - I'm pretty happy with it. It is in quite decent shape seemingly. Needs a refrigerator (just the interior housing really - Looking for a non-working used one to make one good one out of 2). Haven't checked out the other systems too much yet and I do want to add A/C (figured out that it is pre-wired).
I started another thread under the Truck Camper section and someone there was able to identify mine from the exterior features as a 1990. The plate by the door said C-951 which is what got me on the right trail as I didn't know who manufactured it initially. There was still an original paper on the inside of the closet door that confirmed the year and if you go to my other thread he said there's a plate under the door sill IIRC with the serial #.
Here's some interior pics of the same model as mine, but this was a MUCH nicer/orig. example. This may be an '89. I'll post some interior pics of mine when I take some.

Oh...
Well, we always like seeing Sunny pics, regardless of who's camper.
