new sunline owner......

hello, i will be picking up my 1979 sunline this weekend, it seems to be in GREAT shape, with A LOT of work already done to it. i was looking late 80s early 90s trailers but in my price range (2000-2500) and size range (19-27 ft) i kept finding a lot of junk, so when i came across this, i jumped on it, i will post some pics, and the actual wording from the listing itself, i payed top dollar for this thing, but the guy has over 6k of receipts into it.....i hope this is a good choice for me and my family for a few years at our new seasonal site in the adirondacks, were upgrading from a 1969 15 foot holiday rambler due to the need for space and functionality with the arrival of our son....i believe this camper to be around 19 feet? any info would be great.

the listing...

I have for sale a 1979 Sunline Camper. This camper has been gone through with a lot of new things. I will start with outside first Propane tanks and regulators, and hoses. Tank cover, Bumper end caps. Leveling jacks all 4 sides. Brand New Radial Tires with brand new Spare Tire and rim with new Spare tire carrier installed on rear bumper. Awning is 4 years old . Has Black water holding tank and Gray water holding tank. New Sewer end caps and T-handles for opening valves to drain. All windows and screens are excellent with no cracks or tears. Nice screen door with no tears in screen. Has 1 New skylight that opens for fresh air in bathroom. Brand New Rubber roof with A/C, installed on 05/2011 done by professionals at New England RV All outside corners sealed and new moldings in metal tracks.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! COST OVER $2500.00 TO INSTALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now for the inside, Heat and Hot water work great with programmable thermostat for heat. Electric refrigerator with a 800watt Inverter that runs off of trailer battery to keep fridge. cool while driving then switch power cord and turn off inverter and you are on electric from camp site. Has a 4 burner stove with oven works great. Double sink with storage space above and below sink and stove area. Shower works great and so does vanity. Nice floors throughout camper. Full size bed in rear and dinette folds down to full size bed and upper bunks in front and rear used for storage cabinets. New 20 gallon fresh water tank and all plumbing to pump when at a dry camp site supplies all water for everything inside of camper. Plenty of storage in bedroom with full and half closet. Has privacy curtain to separate bedroom from rest of camper. If interested let me know! Everything works both electric and 12 volt. Camper needs nothing!!!! Camper is 22ft. long from rear bumper to front of hitch!!!! CLEAR TITLE IN HAND !!!!!! Interested leave me your name and number I will call you back. Will not respond to e-mails because of spammers. NO SNOW HAS TO GO FIRST $ 2000.00 TAKES IT AWAY, WILL GO UP IN PRICE IN SPRING!!!!!!!! Also giving away with sale of camper a 1000watt generator.

Looks nice, sounds like the fridge has been replaced with a dorm unit fine if your camping with power but like he said there's a generator that goes with it.

i live in schenectady ny, but my camp is near ticonderoga, ny, between hague and ticonderoga near lake george.

as for the fridge, it is electric or battery only, which doesnt pose a problem due to the fact that i am moving to a seasonal campground with full hook ups this year, i used to be a real camper and camp with no hook ups but with my newborn son here, running hot water, and heating / cooling capabilities for hot days and cold early/late season nights took priority.......i hope i like it, and the new seasonal deal, i am really a rough it kind of dude and thats not really roughing it. lol

Very nice ! We're from over the border in VT, just across from Granville. We're new here, too. Picked up a nice 2001 a couple of months ago. This site has been the source of a lot of info. The members here are great about sharing info !

That looks to be in excellent condition on the exterior for a 1979. Is there any evidence of water damage on the ceiling from before the roof was replaced?

Good deal, and welcome!

Wow, that is one nice looking '79. I haven't seen one that nice in a long time. It's in the "1%" that still have the decals on the front rock guard for the '70s vintage Sunlines.
