New owner from Kansas
Hello from Kansas. Wife Rosalee and I are new to RVing, and of course, Sunline. Retired from printing field in January, purchased a 2005 T264SR in June and we have been out a few times but no long trips yet, just taking it easy in Kansas parks. TV is an '01 F350 crewcab and pulling power seems more than adequate. I found this forum just days after becoming a Sunline owner and have been lurking since. Have seen some very helpful info. Not many Sunlines are seen out here and my dealer says he was the only one in the region.
We looked at many brands and when we came upon the T264 were immediately hooked, but kept looking anyway. Finally went back and cut a deal as we could find nothing as satisfying. So far, we are happy campers.

Welcome Bob! What engine do you have in your F-350? Gas or diesel?
Jon

Hi Jon,
Engine is 7.3 Diesel, 3.73 rearend.
Have been pleased that even in Eastern KS rolling hills it pulls in overdrive, at highway speeds. When it shifts down on steeper inclines I manually drop it out, but otherwise truck does ok with approx. 8K towage.

Glad to hear you got the 7.3. That is really the best engine available for those trucks.
I've got the V10 with the 3.73 and it never stays in OD when towing.

Welcome Bob & Rosalee,
Sorry I missed your post earlier. Congrats on your Sunline purchase, I believe you will be a very happy camper. A friend of mine from Calif. special ordered a T1950 from a dealer in KS, wonder if it was your dealer. One of her major options that she ordered was an "ALUMINUM ROOF".
This a a wonderful group of folks, and there is so much knowledge here. So "IF" you have any questions, just ask.
Kitty

Hi Bob and Rosalee,
Welcome. Did you get your trailer from Robert's RV in Topeka? I checked out some Sunlines there in 2004 but ended up buying from a dealer in PA. You're going to like this web site. A lot of good info to had from all these Sunline veterans. Glad you can join us.
Joe

New Owner From Kansas
Just back from a great week camping down in Mountain View, AR, and noted two new welcomes from Kitty and Joe.
Yes, dealer was Roberts RV in Topeka. He did mention that he has sold Sunlines to folks from CA. Believe he was the western-most Sunline dealer.
The trip down to AR was first pull in the Ozark Mountains. While not the Rockies, we did experience an up/down 2 mile 11% grade. Piece of cake. Knuckles have almost returned from white to natural color nonetheless.
