New Owner
Hello! Just wanted to introduce myself and my family since I am sure we will have questions for y'all soon. We just bought our first ever travel trailer and are both excited and worried. We drove over to Georgia yesterday to look at a 1978 Sunline and ended up buying it. It is definitely going to need some work done on it, but we are hoping it won't take too much. We are actually bringing it home Saturday.
My family consists five children, me and my husband. My husband does NOT like camping in any form or fashion, but he is going to help us work on the trailer.

Welcome Georgiana!
A fix'er upper. Yes we have a few that have done some serious reconstruction efforts that can help if needed. And I see you are already into pic posting. Great!!
Good luck to you and hubby on the camper. Maybe after he put all that work into it, he might have to just go try it out. RV’ing is addicting!!!
John

Welcome
We have a 1982 and working on it has been a lot of fun. We own a motorhome as well yet end up using the Sunline all the time. Here's wishing you well and don't hesitate to ask for help.

Georgiana,
Welcome to the group & wonderful life of Sunline ownership. Hopefully in the future your husband might decide to join you on your camping ventures.
As for fixing up your Sunline, this IS the place to get your questions answered. It just happens that right now Gary & I have a 1978 17.5SB sitting in our yard to do a bit of "Fin'in" on, we also have the wrecked T-299 that we are totally dismantling, and we have a 2003 T0320SR that is our "camping unit". We are "still" doing modifications to our 320 to get it just the way "WE" want it.
This group of Sunline owners are the BEST MOST HELPFUL FRIENDLY people that I have ever met.
Kitty

Hi Georgia,
Ditto to all of the above. Ron & I bought a 2004 trailer because we didn't want a fixer-upper, don't have time for that. BUT we are novices just like you are, and I have been helped & advised so much here, that I feel like all these people are my dear friends. Do NOT hesitate to ask questions, I ask lots of "duh" questions, so you can too, lol!
Welcome, and hopefully our paths will cross one day.
Alice

Hi Georgiana!
Just wanted to echo the feeling of everyone posting before me.....
If you have questions, this is the place to be.
I've camped when I was younger and then again during my first marriage...DH #2 was never a camper UNTIL ME.............we are on our 2nd Sunline, we started too small and went bigger.
We'd love to camp more but personal commitments to our local EMS community keep us kinda close to home....but then again home is in the central Adirondack region of NY....not to bad.
Hope your DH will come around to camping with you.

Thanks for the very warm welcome! I am glad to know I have a friendly place to come when I need to ask a lot of dumb questions. Tomorrow we are bringing the camper home and my husband is so excited that he is strongly hinting that we park it behind the barn. I think he is afraid the neighbors will think he is becoming one of those people who camp!
