New Members with a new (to us) 2005, T1950

We are Kathy and David Hirtle. We recently purchased a 2005 T1950 and love it. It appears in pristine shape and we can't wait to use it! Out last camper was a Scamp....just a bit too small!!
It is my understanding that Sunline has gone the way of the DOO-DOO Bird in this economy? Are there parts resources?? We saw that there is an annual gathering in the Adirondacks?? During the spring/Summer and Fall we live in Crown Point, NY. That's just north of Ticonderoga, on Lake Champlain.

Kathy & David,

Welcome to the group and congrats on your purchase of the 1950. Should you have any questions/issues concerning your Sunline, post them here, and it won't take long before you have some replies, trust me.

There are several Sunline Get to Gethers, so hopefully, one might be convienent enuff for you to attend.

As for parts, pretty much ask and you will receive info about where to obtain and "if" obtainable.

Kitty

Kathy & David,
Welcome. Please join us in Old Forge at the end of the season. See meet and greet, 2010 Adirondacks. We are Paul and Sheri in Schenectady. We haul our T-1950 up rt 30 often to Wells and Speculator. Hope to see you there. Since we bought ours, we've been to many RV shows and always walk out thinking that there are a lot of nice units out there today but we did make a good choice. Good value, quality, floorplan and just the right size for two.

It might be a problem if you wanted to replace a cabinet door but everything else can be bought from the manufacturer through Camping World or (google) PPL for parts.

Kathy and David,

Welcome! Lots of friendly folks in here, and we make it a point to keep things that way.

Over in the Meet & Greet section, you'll find a "sticky" with all the info on the M&G in the 'dacks. We would love to have you join us. There will be plenty of sites available as we intentionally avoid the last weekend of the season at the campground. But it still is good to reserve early to be sure you get a site in C Loop. Just pick one that will accomodate your trailer, although most can handle the T-1950, there are a few that are truly tent or small pop-up sites.

We're currently in Honeoye south of Rochester but are moving to Northville in mid to late spring.

Glad to see another T-1950 in the state! We have a 2006 T-1950 and are in Clifton Park (Exit 9 of the Northway.) We love the size of the camper for two people! We are going to the M&G in PA. for the first time, and will later decide on other M&Gs depending on our college son's sports schedule......

Wow, look what Kathy and David did, joined the Sunline Owners Club and started a local T-1950 chapter.

Maryland Eastern Shore 2004 T-1950

Just purchased a Pristine t-1950, had our first camping trip to Cherrystone campground near Cape Charles VA. Awesome trailer, very comfortable. Had a problem with the 12 volt system. Found the fuse box behind the battery to be full of water and the fuse blown in the converter. All electrical connections redone and a battery replacement should take care of the issue. Camping again soon in chincoteague VA

Congrats Bmerriken on your new Sunny!!! and Welcome to Sunline Owners Club!

The fuse box behind the battery full of water, oh that's not good. Since your talking about a 2004 model, I have put a wrap of 3M 33 electrical tape around the split line of the removable cover and the stationary back part. This helps keep a lot of the moisture out. See here for some pics.

Have fun camping again.
