New Member Says Hello
I have just joined the Sunline group, having just found the site. My wife and I have owned a 1989 C-750 Runabout truck camper since 2000, mounting it in a 2001 Dodge Dakota. She likes to say that I put the cart before the horse as we purchased the camper prior to purchasing the pick-up. Women just don't understand...
When I can learn how to post photos, I will do so. We didn't realize at the time we purchased the Dakota that the camper trim matched the color of the truck. The camper is nicely set up with a solar panel on the roof that charges the battery that is located in the hanging wardrobe. There is an AM-FM Cassette radio installed with several speakers. As we are not large people, we did away with the slide-out bed extension and sleep (cozily) in just the cab-over. An oscillating fan mounted on the driver-side wall there moves the air around. We did away with the front curtain and my wife made four plexi-glass "stained glass" panels for privacy and a nice visual effect. A shelf on the passenger-side cab-over wall gives a little more storage. All in all, a very nice camper, especially as it has a toilet and holding tank, which is not something you find in many campers of this small size.
In addition to RV.net, I highly recommend those of you interested specifically in truck campers to check out truckcampermagazine.com.
Looking forward to being a part of the group,
Brad (Elk River)
