new member question about Que

We are looking at a 2007 Que. We are former tent campers and new to travel trailers. We have looked at the forum threads so we would know what to look for when we go look at this Que for a second time. Now have concerns about the water/floor problem posted, as well as the axle welds. How prevalent are these? Any other things we should look for and be aware of?
We are newly retired and don't want to waste the new downsized income!
Any info will be greatly appreciated.

We have had our Que for a little over a year now and have had no major problems. As with any unit six years old there are always minor things to fix and tweak. All the repairs we have done we have, with the help of the members in this club and a few others, been able to do ourselves. The Ques are simple with most things very accessible and they are easy to pull and maneuver. Big decision we know, but we are very happy with ours. Good luck.

When looking at any TT I suggest using a moisture meter. Trailers have a underbelly membrane that a water leak can get into but can't get out causing it to hold water against the wood causing rot. With a moisture you can probe the wooden frame of TT you are looking at for wet or rotted wood.
They are inexpensive and can save a headache later.

We had a QUE for a year. it was a high end but quirky little thing. I'd think hard about whether you want to have to make up the bed every night. That's one thing that killed it for us. Have the owner demonstrate the faucet on hot and cold. We had to reverse ours so that hot came out first because originally to get it to flow hot the pressure was so high it splattered all over the counter. We had other faucet issues, but I can't remember what they were. Check for delamination of the siding. Look for any spider cracks or bubbles very carefully, as water can get behind those spiders. The good...the memory foam cushions are really comfortable sleeping. The kitchen counter space in the SE is amazing for a 17' trailer. The bathroom is very nice. The number of windows is wonderful, and the shades are great too. We didnt have any axle weld problems.

We had our Que since New in 2006. and still love it. The only problem we had was the Air Cond. unit did not cool. Had it replaced in 2007 for free. We never seen a unit (under 21 ft.) that we liked half as much.
It was a high priced Sunline for it's size, $25,000.+ list, as I guess you know.

Was it well taken care of ? Garaged or kept out of the weather by other means when not in use ? That's the only way I would only buy any used TT.
If you have any specific questions just ask.
Good Luck.
