Hello Sunline!

This is Terry in Pensacola. We've own our T-2363 for years, and have only made one cross country with it - it was her uncle's, so needed to keep in the family. He was a crew chief in the Air Guard, so took care of it

We now have a broken window on my Sunline Solaris Lite RV model T-2363.

I'm trying to figure out how to get it out to get a replacement pain cut. Any ideas?

Welcome tbroton!

Which model year T2363 do you have and which window is it? The T2363 spanned many years, it was a popular floor plan.

All of the wall mounted window "units" are installed the same way for the model year, but there are some differences in size, weight and location and tricks to help different locations.

The glass, assuming that is what is broke, is bonded to the metal frame. If you want to take the window out and bring just the broken window to a repair place, odds are high you have to remove the entire frame and window as one complete unit from the camper. The only window that would not need to have the entire frame removed would be a hinged escape window as the hinge can be unscrewed and the frame remain in place. All the others, picture window, side ways slider and vertical slider most likely you have to take the entire window frame and all out. Which is not that hard to do once understood and we can show you.

Let us know the model year, which window, and what is broken on the window so we can help better.

Pictures inside and out of the camper looking at the window helps also.

Hope this helps

John

Window removal

John,

Thanks, ... yes, I got the window out. Had to Remove from its frame by razor blade. Reinforced with clear duck tape and took the window to our local shop. It was the living room slide window.

OH, the big slider window by the table. You were fortunate that one came out of the frame.

Let us know how you make out with the glass repair place. I'm not sure if they require tempered glass or not, on a side window.

I replaced a broken glass on a Hehr window on my old 1998 T1700. Took the measurements to a local glass franchise and, when the gal asked, I told her it was for an old camper. She wouldn’t sell me the glass unless it was tempered, which surprised me as none of the glass in that camper was tempered.

Ended up going to a mom and pop hardware store for a piece of regular glass.
