Welcome!

Congrats on your new Sunny!

I am not totally sure what year these places change from the older ways to the newer ways. Your 1990 camper may still be on the older ways.

The VIN should show up in these places on your camper, assuming the tags are readable and which vintage tagging yours has.

1. VIN Tag. Older way, the VIN number was stamped on a tag fixed to the A frame by the ball coupler area. Look for tag or the number stamped in the frame.

1. New, VIN tag. Outside on the front left corner of the camper was a VIN sticker that also included the model number and axle weight ratings and GVWR. Many have had the sun fade them out to be no longer be readable.

2. Newer, Not sure if the 70's ones had this or not, but by the 80's maybe. At the main entry door, look down at the entry door threshold plate. The metal plate screwed to the floor where the door closes over. Take the screws out and check "under" the threshold plate for a VIN tag.

3. Inside weight and model sticker. The older campers had some level of sticker, but it may or may not have the VIN or model. The newer campers has a weight tag with the VIN, model number, and the weights of the camper when it left Sunline. Check in a top kitchen, bathroom or main bedroom cabinet door.

If you post pictures of the outside, all 4 sides, and ideally it is not painted over, we can sort out which model yours is from the Sunline brochures in 1990 in our files section and back into the model from seeing the doors, windows and size. You can try this too. The VIN number does does confirm the year but not the model number.

To get to the FILES section, look along the top of the forum when logged in for the word "FILES". Click it.

Then go to Brochures, then to 1990, and download the sales brochure.

We also really like seeing Sunlines, of any kind. We like pics!

Hope this helps.

John

A T3450! WOW... that is a lot of camper. 34’ 6” long. And amazingly on a 7,000# GVWR.

While it is not the largest/longest non slide camper Sunline made, it is a big one. I looked up the floor plan. It has room everywhere.

Was the camper parked on a seasonal site or did the prior owner tow it from camp to camp?

You have a somewhat rare find there. We do not have that many club members with travel trailers that long.

Have fun with your new Sunny!

Your title is not correct. The 1990 brochure dry empty weight says it is 5,290# without any options. If and when you go to re-register it in your name, see if you can get that fixed.

The GVWR is shown to be 7,000#. Yours may have a sticker inside a top cabinet, check the kitchen, bath or bedroom for a weight sticker, I and not sure then the weight stickers started showing up. But it would declare a the unloaded vehicle weight and the GVWR

Looking forward to seeing your repair progress. If you need a sounding board on how to repair, ask away. We have many members do water damage repair.

Best of luck on your project. We are rooting for ya!

John

Bummer on a 10 year leak. I know what that looks like. I'm restoring one like that now.

See here for lots of pics on one of my project campers with a long term leak in storage for about 8 years in storage before I acquired it. https://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f...avy-17684.html

Post some pics of your rebuild sometime. We all learn something from these kind of rebuilds.
