Hi, I’m Dawn and Gary is my spouse 1.5 years ago we bought a 1993 Saturn Sunline 2160 model. It was like new. They couple we bought it from used it every Summer with their children. We like camping but wanted it for our wedding/honeymoon trip to the UP of Michigan. It worked perfect for us, a friend a 3 large dogs for 10 days. We have already made camping trip plans for this Simmer. It is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and each other.
Question has anyone put in a tankless water heater? If so what brand, model and how much of a project? Thank you for accepting us into your group! Happy Camping! Dawn & Gary

Welcome Dawn and Gary!
I can't help you much with your water heater question, but replacement Atwood models are fairly inexpensive if you shop around. It's a hard thing to eliminate since it uses such a big hole in the wall. You can even get them with electric if you want. What's the reason you want to go tankless?

Welcome Dawn and Gary!
Glad you found us and welcome to the Club! Yes, camping is nice way to escape the daily grind of work and being cooped up inside all week/month/year.... Something about being outdoors in the woods or near a lake that is peaceful. And doing it in a Sunny makes it even nicer!
On your water heater, we have only had a few that I can recall who talked about doing a tankless upgrade. I do not recall someone reporting back on after they did it and how it came out.
Do you ever plan on camping without electric power? Those of use who boondock off the grid the propane option works really well. Ours being newer also has and electric element option so we can use both pending where we are camping.
Is it cost or other reason your looking into the tankless? We may be able to help fix the reason with the tank type pending your needs.
Hope this helps and happy camping this year!
John

Tankless water heater
John,
Thank you for your response. We are just thinking that the water heater is 25 yrs old and probably not working. Thinking of if we do have an area that we are camping & need to shower we would like to change it before we got to that situation. Last year we used the shower house at the campgrounds we went too. Just thinking upgrading. Thank you for your time. Dawn and Gary
