Welcome Nate!!
Glad you found us and congrats on your new Sunny!
Sounds like you have some water repair and rear wall repair ahead of you. The good news is , your a wood worker! And these Sunnies, the way they are built can all be repaired. You have come with the right skill set and tools
Hiring some of these kind of repairs out can get expensive due to the labor cost. The materials are not that bad, but remember you work cheap! They are truly a labor of love... and once you get to go camping and enjoy those great times, you will get hooked like the rest of us...
There are many here in the club that have done water damage repairs and some building the entire camper from the ground up. And many posts on them.
Pictures go a long way in these cases. Helping us see what you are up against can help better explain then words. When you reach a point of many questions, create a post in the Repairs and Maintenance forum here on the forum and all of your water repair can be in the same thread. This helps you and others in the future.
Here is a post which may help. This was an over the winter project which involved the rear wall, roof and front wall.... This is a rubber roof camper, and I do not know if your 89 is a rubber roof or a metal roof. However the siding repair and other woods areas repairs are applicable.

When you get to the floor repair, we have many others who have posted some good pics of their repairs.
Hope this helps
John
