New camper and Sunline owner

My wife and I picked up a 1983 F-2550 (best I can tell from a 1983 brochure) just a few days ago. It is a fifth wheel type trailer with a gooseneck connection.

It is going to need some work but our biggest problem is a broken black water tank tube, that broke off when we got a flat on the way home. I am working on getting pictures and the RVIA tag info. I'm still looking through the paperwork and it appears I have a partial owners manual for the camper and manuals for many appliances.

Any help with locating a black water tank replacement that will fit and if there is a way to get replacement keys for the outside cargo doors would be of great help. Also looking for information on adjusting the neck on the gooseneck as I've read you can do it but not exactly sure how. I think a axle under suspension flip might be necessary in the future.

Thanks.

welcome to forum.

If you can take photos of tank tube we might be able to come up with a solution.
If it's just the discharge pipe, that can be replaced. I spent a long time looking for a black tank when mine broke at at discharge opening where previous owner bottomed out. He tried to fix with fiberglass but fiberglass don't stick to ABS plastic. This is how I repaired mine. Allot easier than replacing tank.

Many (most?) cargo doors now take the standard "751" key. Unsure if it'll fit your '83 but borrow one from a fellow RVer & try it

Wouldn't have if they're the original locks, but they could have been changed. The original was a unique one, but I'm not sure if it was a common one at that time.

I able to get the cargo doors open with out the key by smacking the locks. I'm still on the fence about repairing the black tank, I think we may just buy a new tank because we are debating on moving the bathroom/shower area to the back.

Thanks for the help.
