New 1985 Sunline 1550 owner

Hello all.

I just purchased a 1985 Sunline yesterday. We were looking for a pop up or travel trailer that our Odyssey could tow but were left wanting with more modern equipment. Turns out we had to go further back in time rather than forward. The van tows this little beauty wonderfully. She’s obviously seen some action in her 38 years, but is still watertight and everything still works. All she’s missing is the awning which honestly doesn’t surprise me. The wife is already imagining the repainting job she’s going to do.

As a bonus the documentation that came with it goes all the way back to the purchase order from Sunline Motors including the equipment sign off sheet from the factory.

Hi! We have a 1992 1550! And we couldn't love it more! It was all redone and repainted when we purchased it. We are still figuring things out cause we are new to travel trailers. Wishing you the best with your Sunny and many happy trips!

Donna

Me too. We have a 86 t1550 and love it. came from the factory with no ac, no antenna and no awning. Now has air and no antenna, and an old Faulkner awning that needs a spring, but i just manually roll it up and it works. Replaced the frig with a 110 refrig, and use an inverter while going down the road, then convert to electric if we have it. If not, we use a cooler. Enjoy. We still use ours year round.
