New 1981 Sunny Owner!
Hi All!
The family just purchased a 1981 Sunline Travel Trailer - I think it's a 15' SC or a 15 1/2' SB (the outside box of the trailer measures 13' but after browsing the forums it looks like I should be measuring it from the very back bumper to the end of the tongue - so it's probably 15' or 15 1/2'). I have it stored otherwise I'd go measure it right now. The VIN is 1LC2S1F16BD156990.
It's in need if some work for sure but is serviceable for now and we've already taken it out once and had a blast.
I have a million questions but I'll post each of them in the appropriate forums. I love the community here and just how helpful and patient everyone is.
For now, just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. We live in southern Ohio and are excited to be a part of the Sunny community!
Also, I know you all love pics, so here you go!

Thanks Wannabes! This weekend I confirmed it's a 1981 15 1/2' SB. I measured the dinette bed and the lounge bed and they matched the 1981 brochure measurements. I also found a sticker buried inside that confirmed it was a 15 1/2' SB.
I also found out there are leaks in the fresh water tank, gray tank and black tank, so that's exciting.

Welcome 81SunlineTT!
And welcome to a fellow Ohioan! It is always a treat to see other Sunlines in the OH state parks, just we do not see that many as the Sunline dealers where not many back in the day, but do see them from time to time.
And yes, by your VIN, you have an 1981 model camper. The VIN does not call out the model number though. You are right, back into the model from the brochures.
Happy camping and fixing up your Sunny! Have a look around, there is a lot already posted. We are hear for any and all questions.
John

Thanks JohnB! I've already taken advantage of the posts about winterizing and knocked that out today. I also took a bunch of pics of the anticipated trouble areas of the trailer that I'm trying to work on this winter and I'm starting to post those questions now! Really loving this community and how helpful everyone is! Thanks again!

We have also own a1981 Sunny. I haven't mastered posting pics yet. It looks like yours but the door is behind the tire at the back. We think we have the cutest, greatest travel trailer ever! I know you think the same thing!

Awesome! We definitely have some work to do to ours before it's the cutest, greatest travel trailer ever, but it's good enough for now! I may hit you up with questions related to the 1981s once we get around to doing all the things we need to do to it!
