Howdy All
Howdy there folks, wanted to introduce myself and say thank you for the wonderful information I've found on this site. I am Ken and my lady is Sandy. We stumbled into a deal for a 1998 Sunline Saturn T28SS with a slide out, its funny, we had just started talkin about upgrading from tent camping to a travel trailer.....and there it is. We have to buy a tow vehicle for it, I don't think my 08 explorer is the one for the job, but that's fine. We got a good deal on our Sunline, and I sure don't mind a larger truck. Wellllll let my qualify the good deal part.....we picked it up for 5K, and we couldn't find anything comparable around our part of New Mexico for that price and from what we have read Sunline is a reputable camper. We plan to do a good bit of road trippin, the kids are almost all grown and outta the house and we plan to get out and see more and relax. Anywho, I tend to ramble, forgive me, thanks for all of the info I have found here, the brochures are great. Have a good one y'all!!

Greetings Ken & Sandy & welcome to the SOC forum
You'll be very pleased w/ your choice of a Sunline camper. They're very well constructed & hold their value well. I'm surprised to learn slideouts were available in '98. We don't have one on our T-1950 but can sure appreciate the room they add.
Although we live in far upstate NY, wife & I have traveled to SW for the last 3 winters. Only spent very limited time camping in SW NM (oh yea, & twice @ the Edgewood Walmart just off I-40) but lookin' for suggestions for good boondocking locations. Got any ?
Thanx & happy camping

Hey there GKLarson.....i misunderstood the term boondocking.....I'm a newbie with the travel trailer end of things.....between cold beer, nm and maxwell there is what is called Lake #7 that is supposed to be a great get away spot that's not a state park or any of that. Boondocking and being out in the boondocks are very different things....sorry bout that. There are a couple others I'll look into....down by Ruidoso and outside of the Chacon area....anywho, have a good one!!
