Chipgin is an unknown quantity at this point
Post Hi Everyone!

A few tidbits.
My name is Chip and my wife's name is Ginger. Hence the handle, "Chipgin", of course I also like Gin. Anyway, we are from Texas (near Dallas) and have just purchased our first RV and are truly feeling like noobies. We have a 2001 Sunline Solaris T-2553 that looks to have been well maintained and has all the original documentation, receipts and user manuals.
I am in the process of checking it over and cleaning it top to bottom. No visible signs of leakage any where. However I have not taken a moisture meter to her yet. We are sure to be asking a lot of questions as we proceed. YouTube has been a great help so far. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
It has been great to meet you all (virtually)!

Thanks - Chip

Welcome Chip and Ginger!

The T-2553 is a common floor plan. We have many member here with them.

This is the place to ask any and all Sunline questions! There are no dumb questions, only ones you need help with. So go for it.

There are lots of things to talk about but we really do not know your needs. And we know, you too may not yet know what your needs are... When getting a new to you camper things like; tires, axles, bearings, the truck hitching system, batteries, water heaters, water system, roofs, how to start the fridge and hundreds of other things. Go have some fun in the camper and see what you can figure out and what you are sort of, h'mm what is that all about...

For advice on things to help,

Posting pictures of things you have questions on really helps. And also tell us the year and model of the camper when you have. If the questions are on an appliance, like the fridge or water heater, post the make and model number of the appliance. Then we know right off the bat what you have. Sunline made a lot of campers and appliances change often and some work different. And some get replaced with other brands by prior owners. So telling us what you have, is the best place to get good info on your model.

If you notice, many of us have a signature attached to the bottom of all our posts/replies. Adding you camper year and model and or tow vehicles helps right from the get go. It shows up all the time and then you did not have to add it in the text. To create a signature, this post can help guide you to your User CP where you create the signature file. http://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f1...html#post86044

Have fun with the camper!

John
