Hi everyone!

Just wanted to introduce myself and our new 2nd home. A landscaping customer of mine gave me her 1985 t2462 in exchange for a spring cleanup at her house (about an hour of work). Not too shabby! It's been stored in her garage, untouched, for the past 15 years.

So far I've cleaned the heck out of it, replaced the 5 tires, sanded and painted the wheels and frame gloss black, repacked wheel bearings, new battery, swapped to all interior bulbs to led, replaced the leaky galley faucet, made the upper bunk into a king size so all 4 of my kids plus a couple guests can sleep in there, and cleaned some more

I still have to rewire the brakes, replace the water heater (huge crack in the tank, which I found out the hard way), and repair a crack in the gray water tank. Hopefully it will be done in about a week because we are itching to take it out on its maiden voyage!

Here is a pic of it the day we pulled it out of her garage.

Thanks! I'll have plenty of questions as this is a fairly new thing to me. We are coming from a popup, so the whole bathroom, hot water, A/C stuff is unfamiliar. My wife is very excited to not have to walk to the campground bathroom in the middle of the night anymore

Hi and welcome !! This is a great forum for advice and answers to questions.

We will have (hopefully) a New England Meet and Greet in August. It's a bit slow to get going, but Tom and I will be there for sure and last year people reserved at the last minute. Hope you might join us! It's in Quechee, just off I-91. See details here -

http://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f6...eet-15949.html

Another nice meet and greet is in the Adirondacks in Sept. (and Western New York in Sept. as well).

Hahaha! I actually offered to do some more work around her place. Taking down a couple smaller trees (free firewood for me ) and trim all of the overgrown shrubs. I feel like I pretty much stole this thing!

After I tidy up tomorrow, I'll snap a few pics of the inside. I've been busy working on it, so it's a mess again. Just got the new water heater in, new stereo and speakers, and a bunch of other small things.

Here are a couple before pics the day I picked it up. It was seriously like walking into a time capsule! It even had Sing Along with Mitch Miller in the tape deck hahaha!
