My 1st question.... how can I find out what year my Solaris is .... i can't find anything on it that gives any info I have a # looks like a vin # but when I put it into a site that gives this info it say no info found
2nd question need some sites for parts, water and electric work want a2 new doors and need a couple windows that got cracks
I plan on restoring and this will be my home when on assignment, I have never pulled a travel trailer, but I have pulled horse trailer and trailer full of hay, sure this will be a learning experience, I will appreciate any input..... Thanks in advance Tammy

Welcome Tammy! Can you send me a private message with that VIN? If that's what it is (should be 17 digits), it'll tell the year and more.
The windows will be a tough one, you could replace glass but it'll be as expensive as new windows probably. Take measurements of your existing windows and contact some RV surplus facilities around Elkhart to see if they have what you need.
I think you'll find pulling it will be quite a bit like a horse trailer. The same principles apply in terms of sway, backing up, added stopping distance, etc.

I just re-read this- the various VIN decoding sites on the internet don't work for camping trailers, only motor vehicles. The same would apply for a horse trailer, utility trailer, etc. It might not even work for some commercial vehicles, I'm not sure.

Posting pics, there are 2 ways.
Upload direct to our forum. See here http://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f1...html#post86041
If you have your own photo server, you can link them here to the site. See here for help. http://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f6...club-7650.html
And here is one more help item to find something. We do have an embedded search function within the forum. This one. Sunline Coach Owner's Club - Search Forums
However that search feature is hard to get good hits off of many times.
Our Admin created a Google Custom Search for just our site and it works really well. See this link. https://cse.google.com/cse/home?cx=0...95:95x3m3w6lto
Scroll down to the "Google Custom Search" box, enter a few words on your topic and hit the blue search button. It will find many hits on that topic.
Hope this helps
John

We can help you find it so you know where to find other good info about your camper.
Across the top of the forum screen are 8 "tabs". Those tabs are hot links to other areas.
Look for the one called "FILES". click it and it will take you to our files area where you can down load lots of good info. You need to be logged in to down load files.
Look for the "Category" called "Sunline Brochures". Click in there and scroll through to the 1988 section and download a copy the 1988 Sunline sales brochure. Scroll through the brochure to the T-2953 and look at the Gross Vehicle Weight. This is the weight of the camper empty (no camping gear added) with no battery and no gas in the LP tanks or added options.
The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating is the max allowed weight the camper can be when fully filled with camping gear. You need to manage your camping gear to not exceed that number.
Let us know if you need more on this

Hi Tammy,
I saw that you posted a comment on my thread, fixing up my Sunline, so I went looking for your posts and found this one. Welcome to the group. You have many helpers here so you should have no problems getting answers. And, we love pictures. LOL! I'll be working on mine over the weekend so I'll be posting more too.
Steve

Thank you, I'm very excited to get into the renovation, I know of 2 spots that I see a small amount of water damage, under a window, I could see water leaking when it rained and in the bedroom the ceiling doesn't look wet but the seem is opening up and looks suspicious. I'll be off 7 days starting Wednesday so I'm going to be getting into investigating and will post pictures and will have questions, so glad I found this site, might not have attempted this without the info here
Thanks for sharing
Tammy
