Hello From Georgia
Hello all, I just bought a 1994 T-2052. I haven't had the pleasure of even seeing it yet - in person. I live in Georgia, but the Sunline is in Maine. I was there a few weeks ago, saw it was for sale on someones front lawn. I called my sister up, asked her to please go look at it and if possible take pictures and she did. I looked at the pic's, 30 of them. I called the folks up that was selling it and sealed the deal. I found this site before buying it and was sold on it after reading some posts from all you wonderful folks.
My husband died 6 weeks ago. All my family live in Maine, so when it gets hot here in June, I'm off to Maine to (live) in the Sunline for 3 to 4 months. It's about 21' long and 8' wide so guess I won't get in my own way for those few months. Has anyone ever lived in their travel trailer for lengthy stays?
I hope to make friends here as it's been very lonesome for me since my husbands passing. Friendly regards, Janice

Welcome to the club and let me offer my and my wife’s (mdfiregal) condolences on the loss of your husband. You’ll find plenty of friends on this site and there’s a good way to meet a few in person!! Check out the Meet and Greet in PA in June on your way north!! Info is in the Meet and Greet Forum. Of course there's also the NY M&G the end of Sept. on the way south!! Enjoy your SUNLINE, they're great coaches.

Welcome Janice! I think you'll have no problem fitting in here. We would love to see you and your coach at a M&G.
I would have no worries about living in it for three months. The coaches are (were) built to hold up well. Normally I'd say you'd find a 21' trailer a little small, but since you're by yourself, I think you'll be fine. The twin beds should also make it feel a little bigger since you can walk almost all the way back. Plus, if someone wanted to come stay with you, you could accomodate them with no trouble.
Jon

Hi Janice,
Welcome to our wonderful group. Sorry to hear of your husbands passing. "IF" you need anything, we are here to help if we can. Congrats on your Sunline purchase, Sunlines are wonderful coaches. We don't call them trailers because they are a cut above trailers, they are COACHES, Are we a proud group of owners, you bet we are. I too, am a solo lady, due to sudden divorce after 33 years, so I somewhat understand your pain. Keep your chin up and plan on enjoying your new Sunline,
Kitty

Hello again, Thank you for the condolences. I took my car to the shop this morning, and have just about decided to trade it in for something I can haul my T-2052 with. Any suggestions? I can drive a truck, straight shift or automatic. The gentleman I bought the couch from will deliver it to my sisters house sometime next week. He's already winterized it for the most part. I do love the layout of it with the twin beds on the end. The storage/bunks over the two beds and over the dining area will serve as extra storage if I buying small items from Estate Sales in Maine to sell on EBay. I've been selling and doing a little buying for about 5 years now. It gets very hot here in Augusta (home of the Masters Golf Tournament). When June rolls around, I'll be ready to get out of town.
Well, guess I'll go now I've rambled on enough I've embarrassed myself.
Janice

Welcome to the club, my condolences on your husband, and good for you that you're continuing to camp.
Post you question on a tow vehicle that's right for you on the Sunline Club Towing and Tow Vehicles Forum, you'll get much better response.

Welcome to the club, my condolences on your husbands passing.
Hope you have some happy times camping with your family in Maine!
In my prior life, before retirement, I had to visit Atlanta twice a year and trust me ----that was two times to many......the heat was just way too much for me! When there I had to play golf, with a bunch of execs who lived down there and were accustomed to the heat.......not this lady!!!
Give me the mountains of the Adirondacks, were the snow is falling as I type!
Again Welcome to the Club!
Kathy

Janice:
Welcome. I'm sorry to hear of your loss. You will find this group to be very supportive on many levels. Your Sunline questions will definitely be answered promptly.
I have a T-2051 which is similar to your T-2052 except it has a double bed in the corner with a wardrobe closet and tv stand on either side of a rear door on the opposite wall. For one or two people, it's an ideal size and it's easy to haul due to its light weight. Since you feel comfortable driving a truck, you will find that a 1/2 ton pickup will pull your trailer quite nicely. I pull both of my Sunlines with a Chevy Silverado 1500: I get 11-12 mpg towing the 2051 versus 9-10 mpg towing the 2553.
Enjoy your new Sunline and feel free to ask questions.
