Hello Everyone,

This is William from Unicoi, TN about two hour north of the Smokies. Just purchased a 1988 Sunline Truck Camper Sportster C-951 from a man who wished he could have kept it but did not have the correct truck to put under the camper. I slid the camper into the bed of my 2008 F350 SRW Superduty. Am loving it so far. The wife and I are interested in hooking up with other Sunnys who want to do the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Outer Banks. Appreciate any truck campers as we can overland. We would also enjoy rallys, etc. OBTW we are sorta/kinda retired and in our 70's.

Welcome Gandalf!

Congrats on your new Sunny! You for sure have the right truck for the camper.

The closest Meet and Greet rally to TN is the Midwest rally in north west Ohio. There are other Meet and Greets in NY and PA. See here for details on them. It would be great to see you and your camper at one of them. Sunline Owners Meet & Greet - Sunline Coach Owner's Club

And no issues being retired or with any age. I'm in the retired group too, just you have a few years on me yet. All are welcome!

Happy camping.

John

PS we like seeing pics of Sunlines in action. Feel free to post a few. Sunline made a lot of different campers, and we like seeing all of them.

You will enjoy your C-951. We bought ours new in 1993. It was the last pickup camper that Sunline made. We have been all over the country with it and just returned home from a week on Hatteras Island. Having your "home" with you on the beach is the way to go. If your F-350 is a 4x4 you can drive it on the beach. Just remember to air down your tires.
