Hello Everyone!
Hi Everyone,
We are new to the Sunline owner's Club, though we are not new owners of Sunline campers. The current Sunline is a 1999 T-2970 Bunkhouse purchased new back in the spring of 1999. It is well-equipped with most options that were offered. Sunline was nice enough to change the dinette table and add back-up lights. We decided to keep the trailer lighter and not have the fiberglass siding. We live in Michigan, and among it's many trips, this year's included the big trip to Virginia Beach VA.
We've made some changes to the Sunline over the years, adding a Class III hitch to the back of it for the Reese Outfitter to haul four bikes. This year the Sunline got a new awning. Last year an upgrade to load range E tires.
There have been many good memories with this camper. This rig is towed by a 2000 E350 Ford Club Wagon Chateau with a 6.8L V10 engine and a 3.73 rear axle. It has delivered as much as 10.5 MPG and is an awesome tow vehicle for the Sunline.
It replaced a 1997 E150 Club Wagon with a 5.4L V8 and the previous camper was a 1992 Sunline Saturn T-2251, a smaller bunkhouse.
Hope to chat with many here!

Hi JerryR58, welcome to the forum. We don't have to tell you about the quality of Sunlines...since you have owned one for many years.
But I can tell you, this is one of the nicest group of people you can imagine.
Hope you are able to join in and chat once in awhile!

Welcome Jerry! Don't hear of too many original Sunline owners anymore, we're definitely rare and becoming rarer.
Where in MI are you? You should plan to check out the MI meet and greet we have here every spring. We've been going down to Hillsdale for the last few years, but I think we're going to change it up to a campground in northern Ohio next year for a change of scenery.

Hi Kathy & Leo,
Thank you for the welcome. We will check back and join in the chat for sure. There always seemed to be a following for Sunlines, and I have always liked the two we've had. Looking forward to meeting other owners and chatting!
Jerry & Shannon

I think the meet and greet would be fun! When in the spring is it usually? We are located in Clinton Township, Michigan which is a northern suburb of Detroit. I see you are in Michigan as well. Where are you located?

Hi Jerry,
Ah, I'm out in Northville on the west side, not too far from Ann Arbor.
Here's the thread on the meet and greet, feel free to post a response there so the site emails you (if you have that set up) when there's an update. I will update the thread at the top with the final date info when it's finalized. Right now we're talking either the weekend before Memorial Day (May 16-1 , or like the second or third weekend in June. Probably leaning toward the May date:

Jon,
Thanks for the information on that. I will check it out and hopefully we can make it there. It should be fun.
You being in Northville is pretty close on the scale of things. Hi neighbor!

Hi Anita,
Thank you! This is a great website. It looks like there is lots of friendly people willing to help and support others. I would imagine as Sunline Campers become more rare that the friendship and support would just get better and better.
Thanks!
Jerry

JerryR58, you will notice that as we become SOB's (some other brand) owners - we don't go away! We stay here and share our knowledge and gain knowledge! Actually some of us SOB's still go to Sunline Meet & Greets......and our friendships have grown to feel more like family than friends!
I just love this site!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you!

Hi Jerry,
Welcome to the group. My wife Nancy and I had a T-2251 for 20 years until 2012. We then bought a T-2553. As you have noticed, this is a very friendly and helpful group.
Again, welcome and enjoy!
