Hello All

I'd like to take a minute to say hello. My name is Lowell, and I have a wife named Amanda, we are both 26 years old, with no children. We love to travel, and of course camping.
I'm very happy to have found this group of fellow Sunline lovers! We are on our third Sunline trailer, having just picked up the current one about 2 weeks ago. We are the proud new owners of a 2003 Sunline F-304SR. We traded in our 2001 T-295SR because we stumbled onto a Sunline 5er on the internet and just had to have it. We had been browsing 5ers last spring but just couldn't make ourselves give up our Sunline, when luck struck about a month ago. Boy am I tickled. It was a long drive (about 550 miles one way) but definately worth it. We love the quality and craftsmanship of Sunline products, while also being fairly competitive in price.
In 2000 we started with a 1996 T-2153, and then moved to an Airstream Sovereign. The AS only lasted about a year because after much work I still couldn't stop the leaks!!! What a pile. Then we bought the 2001 T-295SR. This is a wonderful trailer, with a nice layout. It only lacked outside storage, and the kitchen was a little cramped. We used this one for about two years and just traded it in on the 5er. We are definately sold on the Sunline name and plan to keep this one for many years to come since you can't get a new one.
I look forward to conversing with fellow Sunline enthusiests and maybe attending a Meet and Greet in the future.

Welcome Lowell & Amanada!

Since you've owned Sunlines, you already know the quality...so no sense droning on that subject!

However, you have stumbled on "the best" forum on the net!

The knowledge of the members here is just astonishing! Ask a question and you'll get an answer!

Hope to see you on the road sometime!

Welcome. I see we are neighbors. We live five miles away from each other. I'm glad to see there's a new Sunline in the neighborhood.

Welcome! I am surprised to hear about the airstream! We decided IF we ever sell our Que, we will probably get Safari. That will be right after we win the lottery!!!!!! But we LOVE our Sunline!

Our Airstream was a 31 footer, and was a 1975. If I had done a little research before buying it, I probably wouldn't have. There were frame issues in this vintage and size class. It leaked like crazy and I just couldn't take it anymore. After I bought it I found out that Airstream seemed to loose some of it's reputation of quality in the 70's, but they seemed to do better in the mid 80's to the mid 90's though. Then Airstream was bought by the huge RV manufacturer Thor a few years back and I've read lots of complaints about quality control.

Lowell:

It was a beautiful afternoon for a ride, so I got my old bike running. I saw your new trailer as I approached the intersection by your house. I had to take another lap around town to get a closer look. It's very nice. I have to hand it to you on your parking skills. That is one tight squeeze to get such a large trailer into your yard. Way to go.

Lowell & Amanda,

Welcome to the group and congrats on your Sunline 5th wheel purchase. "IF" I wasn't afraid of heights, I would have considered one of the 2 used ones I saw. But, I need to keep my feet on the ground as much as possible.

It would be great if you can make the GTG in PA.

Kitty

Thanks again for the warm welcome to the group. We have made our reservations for the Meet and Greet in 2008, and look forward to meeting you all.
Al, I remember you saying you were only about 5 miles from here. Are you tword Dillsburg, Kralltown, Dover or Lewisberry. I was born and raised in Dillsburg before moving to Wellsville last Fall. I also remember you saying you had children that were about my age, I may have gone to school with them. It's definately not a park job for the faint of heart. It takes some jockey work to get her in by the fence but it's manageable. I could park the T-295SR with no problem, the new one is actually a little harder.

Lowell, my daughter said she had classes with you in high school. We live between Ski Roundtop and Pinchot State Park.
