Hello

Hello everyone! Currently on our first road trip with our new camper. I have been a tent camper for about 10 years now but with 2 kids age 1 and 2 we needed a new solution.

My partner and I knew we wanted a retro camper and I really liked the Sunline layout and more simplistic design. We purchased the Solaris travel trailer about 3 weeks ago and have it out for its first task. We are mostly boondockers as we like to road trip and sleep in nature as opposed to hotels.

Excited to join you all and look forward to learning more about Sunline.

Welcome Nikele!

Congrats on your new Sunny! This is the place for Sunline info. We have a lot of info already posted, but feel free to ask if you need help. There are no dumb questions, only the ones you need help with.

What year and model Sunny do you have?

Boondocking in the sunny is great. Many times the campsite are more rustic and pristine too. Camping anywhere in the sunny is great!

Looking forward to seeing and hearing about your Sunline adventures. We like all pics of Sunny's in action.

Happy camping.

John

Hey John,

I have a 2003 Solaris T 2570. She’s pretty beat up on the outside but has good bones and the interior is great and all the original appliances are still working well, knock on wood. We have had a few hiccups on our first trip including replacing all the tires which might well have been originals according to the shop I went to. Picture is as the Trinidad Lake State Park in CO.

May I ask what model you have?

Hi Nikele,

If you posted a pic, it did not come through. We would like to see it.

There are 3 ways to add pics.

1. Upload pics to a specific post attaching them at the end of the post.

2. Linking them in from a public viewable web photo hosting service you have.

See here for 1 and 2 https://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f...html#post86041

3. You can upload pics to the forum in your own personal photo album. Then link them to anywhere in the text of a post. See here on how to create an album. https://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f...html#post87945

If you still get stuck, let us know. Pic's go a long way in helping show things you are working on, and we really like seeing Sunline pics!

As to our camper, well... we have 5 of them... See my signature for the year and models we currently have.

The one we go camping in all the time, is a 2004 T310SR, my sig pic is this camper. It is one of larger Sunline slide campers. We acquired it in Sept. of 2007 and have sort of become really attached to it. We may never sell it. It gets a lot of TLC and it shows it inside and out.

The other 4, are project campers, meaning campers that are in good shape inside and out, but have water damage in need of restoration. We are getting close on completing the 2004 T1950 restoration soon. It is a somewhat extreme retirement hobby. Some folks do boats, some trucks, some houses, some motorcycles... I do campers.

Have fun in your Sunny!

John
