Greetings from Canada...
Hello all. Greetings from Edmonton, Alberta. My wife and I recently purchased a 2007 T1950. After searching numerous dealers and viewing many of the brand name trailers, we stumbled upon the Solaris at a dealer in Edmonton which used to sell the Sunline brand. We fell in love with the floorplan and overall quality, a real gem. Much better than any of the new stuff we saw.
Like many of you, we are getting back into camping. Did the tent to tent trailer to trailer progression years ago when the kids were small. We have the unit parked at a nearby lakeside RV resort but did just return from Jasper in the Canadian Rockies. We are currently towing with a 2011 Tacoma, 4L automatic with the tow package. It worked ok on the level but could really use more horsepower, sluggish on the hills. Not sure what we will do in the future, either leave it parked at the lake or look for a different tow vehicle if we plan on longer trips.
Enjoy reading all of your posts, a really dedicated and informative group. Well done. We'll get the serial number submitted. Who knows, maybe we have the last T1950 built???

Welcome to the forum. It is nice to see another fellow Sunline owner in Canada. As you have already seen, there are a lot of friendly helpful people here who are very knowledgeable. By the way, we love to see pictures of everyone's trailers.

Welcome! I tow a T1700 with my Tacoma 6 spd yes it could have more power but I did find that the HP is all at high revs at least with the 6 spd it gives me a better range of RPM if I was towing any thing much bigger I think I would have gone for the Tundra. By changing my evil ways though I was able to slow down to the point I got close to 15 mpg. with the Tacoma

Good to hear you are already enjoying your Sunline. We travel through Edmonton regularly on our way to High Prairie where #1 son lives and #2 son will be moving to Edmonton this fall so you may well see our 2499 around. There are a few Sunlines in SK and AB where there were significant dealers. We passed a toy hauler with AB plates north of Edmonton a couple of years ago.

Welcome !! you won't find a nicer bunch of level headed folks who truly want to help others Some of the other forums just get old with a lot of negative garbage. I love it here.
