Greeting Everyone. I love my Sunny!

My husband and I bought a 17 ft. Saturn last fall. It was in need of major work. We spent a lot of time and resources totally gutting it and reenforcing the exterior walls. We are finally nearly done with the inside updates. The outside is next. Excited to get that project started and done so we can get her on the road. ANy thoughts where I can buy the U shaped screw cover moldings for the outside window trim? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
I LOVE MY SUNNY!
P.S. I have been reading about RV Parks that won't let older campers in. Any one had any experience like this? My Sunny is completely remodeled and so I think she is no longer a 1994 but a brand spanking new 2020.

Welcome and congrats on your new-to-you Sunny. Can't wait to see pics.

I have heard of some RV parks that do not allow older campers. I have not run into one yet but I did hear there is one in Williamsburg, VA. I have not verified this.

Welcome Brenda!

Congrats on your new camper! We would love to see some pics of your hard work. We like pics!

On some campgrounds not allowing older campers in, yes, this is a reality but I have "only" found this rule at higher end private RV parks. We have a friend with a 2007 Sunline at a private campground on a seasonal site and they ran into this as they had a 10 year old rule. They pleaded their case to the owner as they had started camping there before the camper reached 10 years old but then crossed over the limit. They live in NJ. Their camper is in pristine condition and was granted a year by year extension by the owners. So far it has worked for them.

We normally camp in state parks, Army corp of engineer CG's, National parks, national forests and other state and federal camps. I have not seen any age restriction at them. Only heard of this at certain high end RV resorts.

There are a lot of CG's that will let your Sunny in to camp.

On the part for your windows, please attach a picture of the window and the part you need. I "think" your 94 camper has the black Hehr windows that has the screw strip cover on the outside. But to be sure, need to see what you have. A pic of the window flange the covers goes over and ideally a pic of the old sun damaged old cover if you have one.

Hope this helps

John

Brenda,
Welcome to SOC! Our Sunline is 18 years old but you can’t tell by looking at it. Like JohnB we camp mostly at state park campgrounds but have never had a problem with an age limit. We took a 13 yr. old pop-up across the country and never had any trouble. Happy camping!

Brenda,
We traveled from Virginia to Dallas and on to Bentonville, Ar. and only ran in to one campground that required an RV older then 10 years be approved by management. It was in Cave Springs, Ar.

Thanks for the info.
I will get some pictures soon.
But first am I going to get beat up for a total remodel as apposed to a total restore. There is very little left of the original insides as most of it was in horrible condition and those dark 90' s interiors didn't cut it with me. So I did me on the inside. Light, Bright and Airy.
Also when I am done with the planned paint job on the outside there will be very little left of the Sunline Decals left. Just want to know. Some times people get upset if you don't restore. But I love my Sunny now!

No worries on the make over. All camper folks welcome!

We have many members who redo their camper to get a new look. And we have lots of modifications to make our Sunny comfortable to us!

Looking forward to seeing your makeover

Hi Brenda,

I am assuming you where asking how to post pictures. Here is how.

There are 3 ways to add pics.

1. Upload pics to a specific post attaching them at the end of the post.

2. Linking them in from a public viewable web photo hosting service you have.

See here for 1 and 2 https://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f...html#post86041

3. You can upload pics to the forum in your own personal photo album. Then link them to anywhere in the text of a post. See here on how to create an album. https://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f...html#post87945

If you still get stuck, let us know. Pic's go a long way in helping show things you are working on, and we really like seeing Sunline pics!

Hope this helps

John
