Excited New Owners

We are happy new owners of a 2002 Solaris Lite 1950. We began backpacking 17 years ago and upgraded to tent camping and extended canoe camping with as many accessories as they made. We now have the ultimate upgrade. We camp with our Golden Doodle and Newfoundland and enjoy everywhere from mountains to beach. Most experiences have been in NC, SC, VA and WV. Look forward to moving out further in our new camper. We are excited to find this site and look forward to learning lots and providing help to others when we can.

Any advice or tips for new RV'ers would be welcomed.

Hilary and Brian[/code]

Welcome to the funny farm, Hilary & Brian. You will get all the help you need here, and then some...

But...I gotta ask, what on earth is a Golden Doodle?? or was this a typo?

Welcome Hilary and Brian,

We may not be able for a while to provide any assistance since we are noobs ourselves but will gladly help out when/where we can. We purchased our "new to us" 2005 Sunline T1950 about three weekends ago this coming weekend and loving it! We live in Greenville, SC so practically we are neighbors. We were planning a trip to Florida in May but that looks like it may be changing to go to the OBX instead. So we'll probably be passing near by you then.

Out of curiosity, what are you towing your 1950 with? Also, did you happen to buy that from Countryside RV? They had one a couple of weeks ago.

We are looking forward to meeting more Sunline owners that are near by and you are right, this is a great site and a wealth of information.

Welcome to the Club. We have found it to be a lot of help and it has helped us tremendously. We are also owners of a 2005 T-1950. We have had it for about a year and totally love it. Happy camping to you.

You'll love your T-1950. Each RV show and as close as last weekend, we look at other campers and always walk away saying we made a good choice. Quality, floorplan, size.

Welcome.

Hilary and Brian

Welcome!! You have a fine coach there and you will be happy campers.

I noticed you camping history. Very similar to ours/mine. However we also included the pop up stage.... before the ultimate Sunline upgrade

I remember well when 50# on your back and being out deep in the woods and that was living!! And love’in every minute of it. Now we haul 9,200# behind the truck including the kitchen sink and really love’in it!!!

Glad to have you with us and looking forward to hearing about your camping adventures.

John

Welcome, Hilary & Brian!

That 1950 seems to be a very, very popular model, and folks that have them are particularly loyal to them.

But then we all feel that way to some extent about our Sunlines.

Like Mack pointed out, there is a wealth of information in the message threads that are already here. I would encourage you to read back through some of them to get a feel for what has already been discussed and answered. And the Search function will help even more.

Enjoy your new Sunline!

Welcome! You will truly enjoy your 1950! We have towed ours about 5,000 miles in the 3+ years we've had it and really like the TT. We are in the process of moving up to a 2499 and wanted to stay with Sunline due to the quality of the units.

There is so much information available on this site you can spend hours learning about Sunlines and your unit in particular.

Congratulations on your new Sunline. We had a 2002 t1950 for 5 years. Liked it alot, but opted for just a little more space and a bed you can access from either side
We just moved to NC this month. Maybe you can suggest places Lori & I can take the Sunline for weekend get aways?
Enjoy your trailer
