A/C Help

So...how long does a DuoTherm 559, yes 559 not 595, last without a breakdown? Well, mine lasted 32! But now I need help. When I turn it on, I only get a hum. Now wishful thinking says, it is a starting capacitor, common sense says it is probably a bad fan motor or a bum compressor. I would like to try the capacitor first, since the difference between 20 bucks and 500 bucks is considerable, and when I think of trying to hoist a new top unit on top of the notoriously flimsy Sunline roof along with my own tonnage, well, it is daunting. The last thing I want to do is do a full gayner into the dining table. So that brings me to my question.I've looked lots of places , but I can't find the specs on the running and starting capacitors in the 559. Look at the ones installed you say...well, my camper is 150 miles away, and I'd like to order them and take them with me when I go up in a couple of weeks. So if you know this info, I'd appreciate a response.
P.S. I have been absent from this site for a while...life has interfered...my wife and I are now full time grandchildren caregivers...so not so much time to browse...and I have missed the contact....also....I take longer naps.

Have you tried calling Dometic?

Customer Support Center
2320 Industrial Parkway
Elkhart, IN 46516

Phone for Retail Customers: 1-800-544-4881

E-mail: CustomerSupportCenter@DometicUSA.com

That would be my first place to try to get the correct information.

Hope this is of some help.
