79 Sunline 13.5'RD

Guys:

I've been a member (and constant lurker) since we bought our little Sunline last December. I spend the interim doing a little here and there. This weekend the family and I took out for it's first excursion. A quick trip to Dreher Island State Park outside of Columbia, SC! Sunline performed great. Brake/turn lights did not want to work on the way home, but all else went well! I thank you for the camper loads of info your site has provided me in allowing me to get where I am with the project, that is not part of the family. This is our first camper and with a 2 and 5 year old is perfect for us, at this point! ...and this project is just beginning.

I will post more pics later. Please let me know of any upgrades you'd recommend to an old, pretty much untouched '79 Sunline, let me know!

THANKS again!!!
USCDaniel

CONGRATS, WELCOME.. We are just north of Chattanooga. I got a 79 also
last fall. Seems to be the 15 ft model & I have some pics in the photo album ,main page.. Have to get the title paperwork signed with our D.M.V.

Also have some taillight troubleshooting to do.. Retired here , but our grandchildren are in Maine. Not planning to tow that far. Be interesting
to see the interior of your model . Added the higher sink faucet the other
day.

Awesome!!! Welcome Daniel! You have a very rare coach there with that roofline- I've only seen a couple and it seemed like it was an experimental thing. It kind of resembles its Pennsylvania brother, the Serro Scotty Hilander.

Please keep it original!

Welcome to the club. I have a 1983 t-1350 that I got last September. Everything seems to be working. I plan on doing some renovations soon. I would love to see more pictures of your interior. Thanks jean

I grew up camping in a 1977 Serro Scotty Hi-lander 15' trailer. Loved that thing. Really not well built though... when I tried to resurrect it after it sat in a field for 10 years, the water damage became too much to deal with when I learned that there was not traditional studwall construction that could be replaced.
