1987 Sunline Saturn T-1661-Just bought

Hello,
I brought my 87 Saturn T-1661 home today and excited about doing some 'fix up' to it. Not much to do I hope)....all seems in pretty good order but has contact paper on some of the walls & YES, that's coming off! Something is wacky with the running lights and brakes lights. Seller couldn't find the problem so he bought a WallyWorld brake/blinker light kit and installed it so I could tow it home but I still need to troubleshoot the other running lights.

Has electric brakes but they've been disconnected! Lots of light covers missing.

My plans are to become a Workamper and already have a job offer in West Yellowstone MT in the Spring '14.

Welcome to the SOC! There are a lot of great people here to help you with your questions. Hope you enjoy your Sunline - the Workamping at Yellowstone sounds really neat!

Hi OldGrayMare - welcome to the forum and the happy world of Sunline ownership.

Please get those missing light covers - cover with something right away - they could be a source for a water leak......

We love seeing pictures of everyone's rigs - so please feel free to post some here for us to see!

This is the friendliest, most helpful group of friends - so if you have any questions...post away!

I'm excited about the Workamper thing! Some family and most friends think I've gone bonkers, but Hey.....No Regrets, Right?

Any recomendations for acquiring bits & pieces for the 87 Saturn T-1661 ? I've only had it a few hours and haven't had time yet to do much research on where to find replacements such as the light covers.

Try to a list and post what parts you need here - most of us have replaced "something original" already.....we may be able to give you an avenue to explore.

Try to give us the manufacturer of the part and please include your year and model on your request.

Actually it would be great if you could add a signature link with the year and model ~ to top left hand banner and see "User CP" - you can add a signature line there...it helps if you forget to add it to your post!

I know we had Bargman (sp) lights on our Sunline (but ours was a 2006 1950 and a 2007 2499)so I'm not sure what they might have used on an older model.

Poppy & Nana - Thanks!

Poppy & Nana, thanks !

I'm still making lists of things that Must be done and the things I Want to do. One of the first things will be to make the shower larger....it's so teeny tiny. But to do that I'll have to take away the bathroom sink and vanity but figure that's a good trade off to get enough room to lift my arms to shampoos my hair~~~LOL. When I get my lists done and prioritized I'll post my shopping list.
Thanks All

Your original light is a Bargman 99 series. Google Shopping will be your friend here...
