1979 Sunline - Dancingoncloud9

I have an 1979 Sunline that I inherited from my son. He left home and left the camper with me. I don't know where to start with the restoration. So far I've replaced the tires and purchased jack stands. I can't find an affordable, honest person to come give me an estimate on what it needs and doesn't need. I'm in Northern Virginia. I'm a disabled young Veteran. I want to travel with this camper but I'm not confindent. If anyone knows anyone who can help me get started, please let me know.

I have always wanted a camper. I really want to revive this piece of history. Please help!

Hello Cloud9.

If you are able to, take some pictures and post to the site. There are a lot of knowledgeable people on this site that are very, very helpful. They have been helping me along the way in getting my camper fixed up. Progress has been slow due to my lack of experience and the weather but it is coming along.

Post some pics and I am sure you will get responses. The best of luck to you.

Thanks,
Tommie

Hi Could9,

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your camper.

You have a good start with new tires. What kind of info do you need? Is something broke inside or leaking or do you need a general overview on what to look for that everything is OK and working to be able to go camping? When was the last time the camper had been out camping, if you know?

I do not know of anyone in northern VA you can hire, but we can help from here on the forum. We can help give you guidance on how to learn.

The camper looks to be in fairly good shape from those 2 pics, but again not knowing more, we can't tell much more then that.

Hope this helps and again, welcome to the club.

John

Looks like 2100 series (2152?) twin beds, dinette in front. Nice little floorplan. Or a 2150, had a swivel chair in rear with a little vanity,(curbside),and a gaucho double bed, streetside. Interior pictures will sure help everyone. And welcome to the best club online!
