I just looked up in my manual tonight that my Delivery receipt has a line with "Slide Room Travel Locks" listed. It was checked off both at the factory and at the dealer, so I assume this means they were in the locked position at both places. I also see I should have a crank handle for the slide room (it is checked off), which I don't.

In looking at Quetse's sheet, they moved up the two CSA items and added "Trash Can" in place of the slide room locks. Also the CSA Plumbing guard is new and replaces CSA mud flaps. Otherwise, it looks like the same form.

I also don't have any manuals or documentation whatsoever for the slide room motor/assembly. There isn't even a spot on the appliance sheet, so I'd have to look at the unit itself for the serial/model number.

Lastly, here's a pic of my slide room switch and the sticker below it:

Thanks, this is helpful. Little by little I'm connecting the dots on what changed in 2004 to 2005 if any.

So every little bit helps.

Thanks and happy camping.

John

Your slide must be as big as mine so the weight would be about the same. Something we can look at the Meet and Greet and compare notes.
Hi John,

I was at the storage area yesterday to check on our Sunline.
I tried pushing on the top of the slide room, like you did and it didn't budge at all. It was very cold so everything could have been frozen. I'll have to try it again in warmer weather to see if it moves like your’s does.

Just another small piece of information to add.

Thanks Hutch

My movement is not much, just enough to wiggle the prop rod in place.

If the weather cooperates, we will be camping this weekend and I'll measure the wiggle on top for a guesstimated amount of push pull force.

Thanks

John

Hutch

We did make it out camping this past weekend. YEH!!!

With the transit bars out, I “pushed/pulled” hard on the top of the slide. A good 75 to 100# of push and it was hard to tell much movement. I think I was actually rocking the TT more then moving the physical slide. So once could be lead to it being “solid”.

To take the transit bars out and put them back in, I can tell I had some physical movement. I’m talking a real little bit but it had to move. To install the bars I would put them on top, take out all play, then pull hard 2 or 3 times with ~ 50# pull and the bar moved over ~1/2 – 3/4”. I would say the slide moved an entire 1/64” to 1/32” just enough to tight fit the bar in. As the bar would not budge once preloaded like that. And I had to do the same hard pull to get them out.

Since putting the bars on top and doing this push pull to install they have now not falling out for 2 camping trips.

So do I have the same slide setup as yours? Maybe. Would not know until the 2 TT’s are next to each other and compare notes.

At the Meet and Greet this year, I/we can on the other slide units being there see how they are setup. Mine may be made the same as the 2005’s, just never caught up with the manuals or labeling. Still don’t know.

For now I’ll still use the bars, just I’ll fix them up better on the stopper ends.

Thanks

John

Hi John,

I agree - even though it sounds like our slide rooms are similar, since the transit rods came with your trailer, better off using them than not.
