Satellite TV

Need Help:
I have a Sunline Travel Trailer T-267 SR Solaris bought new in April 2004. I have a question about the Satellite TV. When I bought the camper new I had the camper pre-wired for Satellite TV. The Satellite TV connector is located to the left of the side entrance door to get in the camper. Is that the only location to hook up the Satellite cable to get your signal? Is there supposed to be a connection on the roof? Please someone let me know how the Satellite cable TV works.
Thanks --- Kenny

Hi Kenny,

That's a good question that I don't know the answer to. I believe the pre-wire is designed for the tripod satellite dish though. I think you're supposed to hook your satellite coax into the connection on the off door side where you would otherwise connect the trailer to park cable. While you might be able to use the patio one as well, I think that's there more for putting a TV out under the awning.

As far as I know, these trailers weren't prepped for a roof mount dish.

My '98 was supposedly satellite prepped, had stickers on the wall and window. But appearance wise, the trailer wasn't any different otherwise. Still had the one connection for cable on the outside and then the living room and bedroom coax connections with TV antenna booster. It must be something in the wiring to allow the satellite to work?

I think it is the same connector as a camp ground cable connection my 1990 has one. Generally the power for the dish gets it's power through the coax from the sat. receiver box.

Satellite TV

mainah & Sunline Fan:
Thank you for your replies back to me. I will see if I can hook up the camp ground cable tv to the satellite connection by the door and see if it works for regular cable tv.

Next question, does anyone know where to get a 15" sunline spare tire cover??
I have the original sticker that was on the new one on the spare tire cover in 2004 and this is what is on the sticker---

TC15WHGD-29
15" Tire Cover
WHITE/GOLD WELT
SUNLINE LOGO

Thanks --jorcher
