Radio help

Hello-
We have a Sunline 2007 264-SR TT- it has a Voyager AM/FM CD player AWM900 in it... can anyone recommend a replacement radio? the CD player no longer works and 2 of the speakers no longer work.

Thanks in advance,

Laird

Hi Laird,

Welcome!

Jensen is still in business, If you call them they may be able to suggest which it the their newer radio/players would interchange with you older unit. It appears the older ones, and yours is the newest Sunline may have been discontinued.

https://www.jensen-electronics.com/rv-stereos/

Etrailer sells the brand, by quick look these 2 models seems to have the right setup for the Sunline, 12 V DC. 2 speaker zones, CD and radio.

https://www.etrailer.com/RV-Stereos/Jensen/JWM40.html

Or this one,
https://www.etrailer.com/RV-Stereos/Jensen/JWM40.html

I have not been through this before, or know if the unit will fit in the same hole as the old one. Just passing this along.

Please let us know how you make out.

John

Is it a standard "DIN" size like would fit in an automobile? If yes, your options are pretty limitless, just a matter of wiring it in. I would hope wires are color coded the same as in a car, if so, it's an easy process. I would highly recommend Crutchfield, but I also am fortunate enough to live near one of their stores... Wesley

Radio /cd replacement for Voyager AWM900

I have the same exact radio in my 2007 T-257 SR trailer.
The exact modern replacement is the Jensen JWM62A radio which fits precisely in the hole .This unit offers many more new features like Bluetooth for phone (Itunes) , USB ports for videos and songs on flashdrives ,connectivity to TV as it has a cd and DVD player, plus 24 watts more of amplifier power for speakers.
Note: model JWM60 is exactly the same as JWM 62A , The JWM 62A is 5 years newer and made in Maylasia instead of China.
Can be found on Amazon or e-trailer for about $211. E-trailer is a really good reliable source with RV educated people in charge + fast delivery.

Update: for installation easy drop in swap. Only thing to do is rewire a new wiring harness to replace old. HACK: as this unit is much more sophisticated it has many more wires. I bundled all the wires I was NOT going use, clipped the ends and heat shrunk them together ( this system can accommodate 3 sets of speakers. I have only 2) be sure to wire proper + and - to speakers. Black wire is negative. keep track of front and rear speakers.

Radio stopped working on us during our last camping adventure. I pulled it out and there's a fuse located on the top of it. We had power but no sound. I removed the fuse and reinstalled it and it started working again. So next time your radio doesn't work try that before going out and buying a new one right away.

Mine crapped out this past summer also. Fuse related, although it was the lead on the fuse holder end to the motherboard, had a cold solder joint and giving an intermittent. Re-Soldered both fuse holder connections and it's back in business.
