Hi everyone. My parents are the proud owners of a 2003 T-2553, and I'm the proud owner of a 2005 T-2499 that I found thanks to this club before I was a member. I was looking for information for Dometic fridge recalls for my parent's trailer when I just happened to check the classified section, and the rest is history.
My parents are looking to upgrade their 2553 to get a little more space inside, and recently, I found a 2004 264 SR for sale nearby. We went to take a look at it today, and it is quite nice, but we noticed that some repairs had been done to one corner of the slide because of water damage. The dealer confirmed it and said that they had repaired it properly over the winter and are offering us a guarantee on it.
My first question is did the 264 SR originally come with an awning for the slide? This one does not have one, nor does it appear to have any place to bolt on an awning onto the slide that I can see, except there is some channeling up above the slide where it looks like an awning could be attached to. Doing searches on Google Images and I find some 264 SR pictures with an awning on the slide, and some without. Was it an option possibly that you could get at purchase time?
Second question is-how easy would it be to add an awning to the slide? Is there somewhere you can buy one that would just bolt on (eg: from Dometic)?
