195SR Manual

Did anyone get a manual with their 195SR???!!! I got all the goodies from the different manuals for the appliances and axles and the like. I got the generic safety brochures. But I did not get an owners manual for the trailer itself. They may have not even printed one. Is there a way I can get a copy of a 1950 manual??? Too many questions I know, but I found a plastic valve while looking for a sticker last night. I think it drains my on board fresh water but I'm not sure. I'll try to get a picture posted.........M&S

Marshall,

Is the valve on the outside? The outside fresh water drain looks like this:

If it's something else, you'll have to post a pic.

Sounds like you got all the brochures that are normally included with a new rig. Brochures for fittings, valves that are installed in the making of your Sunline are not included. That is where "WE" the Sunline Club come in handy

I agree with Jon, what you describe sounds like the fresh water tank drain. And buried somewhere underneath a cabinet, the couch or bed are two more, these are the "Low" point drains. They will drain your hot & cold water lines. There is also a bypass valve on the back of your water heater that will have no brochure.

Just ask away anytime you have a question.

YEP...........that's the valve except mine's white and is on a piece of metal on the frame, not on the outside like the picture shows. I kinda figured that's what it was by it's location..............right under the fresh water fill. Gosh...........I'm a smart one alright!!! Thanks a million for putting up with me while I'm learning. M&S

Marshall,

I believe in 2005 (or earlier), Sunline starting mounting the fresh water tank under the trailer. Previous to that, they installed the fresh water tank inside the trailer under a cabinet, couch, or some place like that. That’s why your fresh water tank drain looks a little different than Jon’s picture. Jon's picture shows the drain for a fresh water tank located inside the trailer.

I'm sure it is the drain............Here is the picture (took me awhile to get it online)

By the way...........while we are here, has anyone had problems catching those wires hanging down. They go to my sconces behind the couch but hang (even tho they are on springs) pretty low.

Marshall,

That’s definitely the drain valve for the fresh water tank. Looks exactly like ours.

I’ve never had any problems with wires hanging or catching. I’ll have to look at our trailer to see if we have any wires hanging similar to yours, I’ve never noticed them, but that doesn't mean they're not there.

Hi Marshall and Sue! We also have the 195SR. With our camper, we received a white binder with all of the individual owner's manuals and warranty information.
It did not come with a brochure or manual. Since there were only 22 made, they did not print this information. Under the bed, you'll find a hot and cold water drain valve and the hot water tank bypass . The dealer told us the tongue weight is 720lbs. There is a big difference between the T1950 and ours because of the slideout. The UVW weight on ours is 4,738. We've towed it roughly 2,500 miles since April with our V8 4Runner with no problems. We have the prodigy brake control and equalizer sway control and distribution hitch. Hutch helped us decide what kind of wheels to put on to replace the skid bars since ours is relatively low. We really love it and get compliments everywhere we go. What a great little trailer!! If you have any questions feel free to email us.

Ray & Lynn,
That sounds exactly like the binder we got with ours. Like you, we just LOVE our trailer, but sadly, can not take it out until the 21st of July!!! We bought a little sooner than we expected (because we loved what we saw in the Sunline and didn't want it to get away) and we were scheduled out until the 21st. But we have reservations for camping made for Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct & Nov (Dec scares us for now) and a 6 day New England trip in Sep. Talking about camping............are you coming to the M&G in Mexico, Pa??? We could have almost 10% of all 195SRs made if you are there!!! M&S

Hi Marshall and Sue, We unfortunately can't make it to the get together at Mexico, PA. Our future daughter-in-law's bridal shower is that weekend. Our next trip planned is to Parker Dam then later in July a week in West Virginia. I can't tell you how much you'll appreciate that slideout when camping. Keep us updated and happy camping!!

A slide on a low-slung axle setup TT. WOW!!!
I saw the SR in Marshall’s sig but the non-slide side of the camper. Then Ray and Lynn's sig pic shows the other side where the slide is It is a slide....

Sunline was pushing the new things design. I have not seen this on other brands.

I can't find the 195SR on the web to see the floor plan. Are they sliding the bed?

Generally slides occur over the axles and require a higher axle setup for the slide and then it forces 3 steps to get into the TT. And higher wind drag etc. Marshall’s sig pic still looks like you only have 1 step to get in the camper. And the wheel wells show the low-slung axles. Did I get all this right?

This new slide concept would have been a real boost to them. This must be what I heard of on the T2499 that was planed. To slide the couch.

If either of you could pop a picture under the camper looking at the slide mechanism and TT frame it would be great for us curious minds out here.

Happy camping

John

John,

Here's the 195SR Floorplan. The couch is on the slide out:

The tongue weight is just approximate and is what Marshall said a while back. I don't have actual numbers for that. BTW, this can't be found online anywhere...I just made it from the 1950, 2075, and 257SR floorplans. The model was so new at the time of closing that no floorplan was created for it.

Jon

P.S. Marshall/Ray & Lynn: I don't know if your units have 20 or 30# LP bottles. The 1950 comes with the 20's, so I kept it with that. If you have 30's, let me know and I'll change it. All of the pics of the 195SR's I have have the LP bottles covered with the plastic cover.

WOW!! Your amazing.... Thanks

Sunline was cutting edge on these unique things. Which is one reason I bought from them. They are different plus the quality. So the 195SR is a 1950 with a slide. This must of been what they where up to on the T2499, Slide the couch.

Now I'm really into what they did in the frame area to get that slide mechanism in there. Any of you 195SR campers out there with a camera, please take pic's from the botom up and let us inquiring minds know.

Thanks

John

Hi everyone, Here are some pictures of our 195SR. The floorplan that Sunline Fan has isn't exactly right. We have a 18 1/2 inch countertop beside the stove. The 1950 countertop ends right at the stove. We also have a 17 foot awning. I hope these pictures help. I'll take some pictures under the slide in a day or so. Oh, we have two steps into the camper. I know our tongue weight is 720 lbs. Our outside measurement of the camper box is 19' 8". From bumper to ball it's approximately 23'.
We have 2 20#lp tanks. I believe they still have one left at Butler RV in PA. That's where we bought ours at a great price.

WOW. Nice pic's and nice camper.

When you are under the camper, pop a pic of the axles. Area by the tire, axle and frame.

2 steps to get in. Now I'm even more curios on how they ran the slide mechanism.

Thanks for sharing. This is very cool!

Thanks Ray & Lynn for correcting the errors on the last version. Let me know if you find anything else not to spec.

Kitty, I'm not sure when you viewed it, but I was having trouble with the pic being the correct one. I deleted the old one off the Photobucket site and loaded the new one, but it looked like the old one that was showing up. Anyway, I hope I finally have it working.

I don't know about Ray & Lynn, but ours does not have the swivel TV stand above the bed. The antenna /cable hook-up is over the counter space beside the stove.

I'll try to get those pictures under the trailer in the morning.
