I bought a new tractor and a trailer to tow it on. I WAS hoping that the tongue weight would be close to the T2499 so that I would have to buy a minimum of hitch parts to make it work.
Once I got the Sherline scale, I weighed the Sunline, loaded with supplies but no liquids in the tanks: 800 lbs. Loaded the tractor onto the new trailer, up as far as possible. Weighed the combo: 775 lbs. Beautiful, I ordered the Dual Cams and snap up brackets for the frame. The current hitch head, bars, and adjustments should work fine. Interestingly, the 17 inch coupler height and the 9.5 foot top clearance is the same for both trailers! The trailer and tractor combo IS somewhat heavier, however. Sometimes you get lucky!
