Sunny got a new Tow Vehicle!

I am excited to say that our Sunny has a new TV. We traded in our 2006 F-350 5.4 in for a 2011 F-250 6.7L Power Stroke. I must say we are thrilled with it so far. This is the first diesel we have ever owned, and must say it is a pleasure to drive.
Now breaking it in before towing. When you don't want miles they add up fast...when your trying to add them..they take forever.

A 6.7??? H'mm had to go look as I thought Ford was still 6.4. Well Nope.

They must of totally redid the truck for 2011 as I have been hearing the commercials about the fuel efficincey being better the Doge and Chevy

Here are 3 vidoes of marketing "stuff"

The 2011 Ford Super Duty Trucks - Coming Spring 2010 | The Official Site of Ford Super Duty Trucks

I hope they did make the 6.7 better as no one was bragging about the 6.4 efficiency. Even my thristy V10 gasser could get close to the 6.4... as far as fuel used not raw power...

Good news is for us camper folks the big 3 are working to try and get better at the fuel issue that can affect our way of camping.

Congrats on the new truck. How about a pic soon?

Happy camping this weekend.

John

John, somewhere I read about pre-launch testing that they did where they had a convoy out west pulling like 30' trailers loaded with stuff. It was amazing, they claimed to average like 28 mpg. I'm interested to hear what real world numbers are, hopefully they are better than the 6.4. I haven't had the time to go look around FTE since they've started showing up on the roads.

Here's a pic of their truck:

We saw David & Maryann's new sweet ride today. It is beautiful and has some really nice neat features. I too have been hearing good reviews about the 2011 Fords.

We have 2 Sunlines sitting at Brunswick Family Campground, a 264SR and a 311. Maybe someone else will show up and we can give them a card about the group.

Supposed to be a beautiful weekend.

Kitty

Nice Truck! Apparently to work on the new diesels, Ford Techs will no longer have to remove the cab. I always liked Fords but never liked the 5.4 Triton. That's why I have a Dodge. I read in Trailer Life that Ford is coming out w/a 6.2 V-8. I can't justify a diesel, so I'm looking forward to that. Could be my next ride.... in about 10 years.
