whell bearing help - al ko axle

I have a 2002 T-267SR. The yellow paper that came with the trailer lists the axle manuf. as AL-KO, Kober with a model number of 52-7. I have searched the model on the net with negative results. What i am looking for is the correct wheel bearings to fit these axles. I had one wheel off last year and the grease looked like new but the bearings were some china brand with numbers that i couldn't find on the internet. I would like to buy a set to keep with the camper but prefer a good brand like timken or similar. So, if anyone can shed any light on this it will be greatly appreciated.

Everything you want is readily available on the Al-Ko website. Al-Ko parts sheets for brake/hub assemblies:

If your brake assemblies are not one of these two, there are several other sizes listed at: AL-KO Kober - Brakes, Hubs & Drums

All the bearings, seals, etc. are listed in the exploded parts diagrams with part numbers. All the brake parts are there too.

The AL-Ko Owners Manual is also on the AL-Ko website, and it has all the part numbers for all the different sizes (7", 10", and 12".)

Thanks all. I guess the diameter of the hub would identify the size??? I looked at the links and seen the pdf files but need to identify my exact axle

It is not the diameter of the hub, but the diameter of the brake assembly. There are only three: 7", 10", or 12".

I am guessing you'll be able to figure out which one you have.

In answer to your question, go to a local store that specializes in bearings and seals. Bring the Chinese bearing numbers to them, they will cross reference the numbers to a Timken number. Going to the Al-Ko site will accomplish nothing since they will sell you the same Chinese bearing that is on your Sunline.

You may have to contact Timken or SKF directly if there is no supply store in your area. In addition, once you get the Timken numbers, I'm sure that there are many here that would like to know what those numbers are and would appreciate it if you would post them.

Rick, the info on the Al-Ko site (and here in our files area) is valuable because the bearings, cones, seals, etc. all bear industry standard part numbers which are listed in the owners manuals and several other references. For example, the outer cone cup on both Dexter and Al-Ko 10" hubs is L44610. This part can be purchased under both the Timken and SKF brands as well as others.

There is no need to go any further to find cross-reference info as the "industry standard" numbers that we already have are all that is needed.

I would, however, agree that purchasing US made items whenever possible is the right way to go. Like tires, Chinese manufactured bearings, etc. do not inspire confidence.

Very good to know. I was under the impression that they would give the numbers of their Chinese sourced parts. Thanks for that correction.

I also agree that US sourced parts are the way to go for quality and our own economic well being.

Bearing numbers cross reference to all makers numbers any good shop that carries bearings will be able to help you out even if the have to measure them (all bearings by the way are metric). It's getting hard to find parts not made in China even Timkin out sources.
