Another issue is that there is a humming/buzzing sound coming from the new piping and fittings each time water is on, hot or cold. This has occurred before when making modifications but goes away almost immediately when the water fills heater tank. This time it's not going away. Ideas? I may start a new to thread for this as well.

Sounds like your pipes are vibrating due to turbulence in the incoming water stream. You should be able to eliminate or at least minimize that by clamping the pipes to the floor or other solid structure.

Figure out the best place(s) to do that by running the water and gripping pipes with your hand to see where the dampening effect is most helpful. That procedure is one of the free fitness routines provided with camper ownership.

John, any other recommendations for this new style that doesn't leak but without the gage?

While this works great for me, it does cost more.

Camco and others have now come out with better options to RV water pressure regulators. Here are 2 of them and these are better than the restrictor types like you have now.

https://www.amazon.com/Camco-40058-A...183056&sr=8-31

And this one which has a better gage on it.
https://www.amazon.com/Renator-M11-0...3183056&sr=8-3

Those 2 are setup for garden hose fittings and have a gage so you can set it at 50 psi and they pass better volume then the restrictor types.

Hope this helps

John

Attaching some pics of my new setup inside. A new inlet valve and T fitting. A new hot water tank.

H'mm, have you sorted out the area the buzz/hum is coming from? I can understand the water heater filling from empty, that is going to happen, but once the system is filled and the air bled from the lines, it should stop.

Unless, there is a restriction in the line. That restriction can create a buzz/hum. Any chance the buzz/hum is coming from your inline water regulator? That type is a restriction by the way it works. The noise can also be transmitted through metal piping. So the buzz outside may come into the camper by the brass fittings and new tee fitting you put in. You can put your hand on the buzzing source and feel it too. That is if this is your problem. I'm not saying it is, just a place to look.

If this gets to be too big a deal, try and get about 5 or 10 seconds of video sound on your phone and post so we can hear it. Words do not do sounds the justice they need sometimes in troubleshooting.

You found the reply I was looking for. Those are the water regulators I would recommend. I'm not a fan of the straight inline water valves (restrictor type) as they call them.
