Tow Vehicle not Charging Camper battery

When connected to the tow vehicle the battery does not charge. Vehicle side has 12v.

Even when battery on camper has 12v the black wire on the camper connection does not show voltage.

Any ideas on where to start?

There is a junction box on the header of the trailer. It is where the 7-way plug wire enters. Here's an exploded pic by JohnB:

My bet is that the 30AMP fuse might be blown.

JohnB posted an excellent 12v troubleshooting thread HERE.. That's where I found the pic...

Your tow vehicle will probably have a trailer battery charge fuse in the fuse box. While I agree with Gary that that's probably your problem, it might be a good idea just to check that fuse to make sure it's good too.

Thanks for the posts. Very good picture for identification of what wire is what. Unfortunately my 02 T320SR doesn't have a nice electrical box like that with the fuse there for easy access. I'll have to follow the 12v black to where the fuse is on the trailer to find it I guess. I am betting it is in the little box under the bed and under all the beach toys, chairs, fishing gear... I'll let you know what I find later tonight.

It will be the last place you look for it. Look there first.

Good luck!

Then the box is probably either right behind that header panel underneath the trailer, or it's in the front inside, underneath the bed hidden in a little wood box. If it's the wood box, it would say "Vehicle Fused Link Inside", or something like that. Follow the wires from the 7 way plug and you'll find a junction box eventually.

I should have remembered that the 320 had the wooden box! D'oh!

We had one of them too...

Out of curiosity; what size fuse do you have in the tv to the trailer battery? I'm installing that line tomorrow myself and would like to know a good cut off point?
